Very little money was given out compared to what alot of people were wanting, and it was to be used for a new bridge and redevelopment of the town square (and some local parks) none of this money was ever available for sports and wouldnt have been enough anyway.

Its all well and good saying that clubs have had years to sort this out, but clubs in our district have no council support and no football/union clubs to share with.

St Helens' new ground also won't require the involvement of a football club.

But both have had some council ' help ' , maybe not actual financial , you could say ' Blackmail ' in Warringtons case

Glad to see that the stand is finished better late than never i suppose, looks vert nice all they got to do is work on thier home support and they will fit the bill for 2012 because when wigan was last there in the year fax went down we outnumberd the home fans
