Of course, I keep forgetting how ' Iconic ' they are icon_lol.gif

So now we have a structure based on ' Bribery ' even if it just delays the inevitable, SL just keeps getting better and better icon_lol.gif

Quote: roofaldo2 "Yeah, offered in the same way the man being mugged offers to give the mugger his possessions.'"

This analogy makes no sense.

First OK did not have to get involved at all. He had a free choice. No gun to his head.

Second he could have taken over the Bulls and dropped 1 or 2 divisions. No Sky money there but also a massively reduced cost base. No gun to his head here.

No one forced Khan and Sutcliffe (a man with no apparent business acumen)to offer to waive 1 year of Sky money to stay in SL.No gun to his head once again.

The RFL judged that Khan and Sutcliffe had the resources and expertise to run a successful SL club receiving 50% sky money for 2 years. Dreadful call by the OK team and the RFL.

There's no coercion here (as in a mugging) just plenty of incompetence and poor judgement.

Unfortunate Bulls employees have paid with their jobs, OK has been hit hard financially and the RFL fat cats continue with impunity !

Quote: SmokeyTA "What has the council loan got to do with the RFL?

Roughly £650k, twice has been taken from the bulls, that's closer to £1.3m'"

You talk soo much brown stuff its unreal. Up to now they have only had 650k withheld. Also I never said the 300k had anything to do with the RFL. I actually said it had nothing to do with the RFL. They still have the lease so OK Bulls can-t use that to pay off a loan which you stated. So once again you contradict yourself. So I'll ask again has the 300k to the council been repaid.

can't wait for smokeys next trip up his own backside.

I never mentioned anything to do with the council, that is entirely down to you.

Your argument that Bradford have only had £650k taken from them as of now, as they only 'will' have another £650k taken from them is so poor I'm embarressed for you. To pretend that Bradford having £650k taken from next years income has nothing to do with a projected shortfall next year is simply stupid.

Doing a 'wakey' at that point would have been utterly pointless. By the time Omar Kahn was involved that obviously wasn't an option, the time had passed it wasn't in any way an option.

Relegating would have and will (should they be ever be relegated) absolutely destroy. Bradford, they would have no team as their players would have left, their academy would be dismantled, and they would need to run a championship squad, on championship income, in front of championship attendances, and championship sponsors, with The huge overheads they carry now. Pro RL in Bradford would be dead

There were three possible outcomes, try to struggle on with 50% sky money and maybe survive,

Go into the championships with a club in no way set up for semi-pro RL

Or close the club down.

They had a choice , they put themselves into the position of having to make it, no sympathy whatsoever, they were welcome to join us in the Championship and forgo the £ 650,000 they did recieve last year

No it isn't - the stupid thing is budgeting to spend more than you know you will have.

And, even with the extra Sky money I'd bet they'd still be in the same boat as they are nowl.

They? Who are they? What an idiotic way of thinking, even for you.

Are we blaming the Bradford fans here? Was it them that put themselves in this position? Did they run the club in to the ground? Even those who stumped up pretty big sums to try and keep their club alive, are they the ones we should have no sympathy for?

Was it the players? Those that had their livelihoods disputed through no fault of their own? Is it those that we shouldn't have sympathy for?

Was it Omar Kahn or the three directors now who got themselves in that position? Those who have put their time and money in to trying to rebuild the club? Are they bad guys here who needed punishing?

Or was it people who are in no way connected to the club now and who were in no way affected by this idiotic punishment who were the ones who got Bradford into the mess?

Yes, it is. Bradford have a projected shortfall next year. They have a lower income next year. I'm not sure how much clearer it could be spelt out
