Well, not failed but I think there's a lot of expenses being haemorraged that could be used elsewhere.
I think if they were to return to the French league and apply from SL from there they'd have a much better chance. Actually sod that, i'd tell them they're in SL in 2015 and give them 4 years to truly build in anticipation

as far as TO13 are concerned it's been a success - but of course it is a drain on the RFL and the money could be invested/wasted elsewhere.
If the aim is to save money then TO will be 'removed' - if it's a question of 'expansion' they will remain,it's not complicated.

There is loadsamoney in Toulouse and I have heard a certain well known aeronautics company are ready to back any SL bid as well as keep them in the Championship until that happens.There is no shortage of money/investors in the TO area,probably more potentially than around Perpignan !

The question is, are TO gaining anything from being in the Championship that will benefit them in their SL bid? They seem to be on a bit of a plateau at the moment in terms of playing standards, and I don't really see how they will benefit from playing in one semi-pro comp rather than the other. IMO they could achieve just as much by continuing to play in the French league and building to a SL bid from there. Same goes for Lezignan and whoever else. French teams shouldn't be in the Championship IMO, Elite One should be pushed as an equal league.

Id agree to a point, but i think there is still plenty to gain out of having championship and elite one teams playing each other.

I would be interested in what people would think of having the championships and elite one as conferences of the same division both under the European Super League.

Sounds great but purely out of selfishness - i hope not. I like watching live matches and i can't afford too many away days.

two leagues of 10, british league and french league, You play the other 9 teams in your league twice, once home, once away, and the ten teams in the other league once, 5 home games, 5 away. Top 4 from each league then go into the play offs.

You then have a 28 game league season, plus play-offs, which would pretty much mean the seasons joined up with SL

Well it would be a good way of wasting over a million quid , what does the winner get ? , and what happens to the teams that finish bottom ?
