They didn't even finish top half last time they played in it. If they'd left them there and they'd won the French Elite that would probably improve their chances of success, as 10th in the Championship really doesn't show a team ready for SL. That doesn't mean they should go back to the French Elite now they've switched though'"
wow theres more jumping around in that post than in the long jump at the olympics.
no wonder why you have problems with yes no answers.

if you are going to go back that far how many welsh clubs failed?
ill bet you havent even heard of south shields?
or the many london clubs that failed?
liverpool etc?
so if you are going to go that far back you sure missed a lot of them

And which clubs rely on the rfl to survive and in what way? examples please dally.....'"
so you agree with me that small clubs can grow, wow thanks for the compliment.
social security is where people get things for not having to do anything in return. there are loads of current heartland clubs in NL1 and 2 that do nothing for RL for what they receive, or try and better themselves
its all either the fault of the RFL, or Celtic crusaders, les catalans etc

well if the flatcappers are going to put silly restrictions on expansion clubs they never can fullfill, just for fun lets apply it to the other side of the fence
well have a SL with zero expansion clubs and 2 heartland clubs

| its a shame JFK aint around today.
if he were imagine his comments to the flatcap brigade :
ask not what the RFL can do for you, but what you can do for the RFL.
heck instead of the CIA or mafia being behind it, perhaps it was a leigh or a keighley fan up there on the grassy knoll

Did i say i included all expansion clubs in my list? nope just a number of clubs that you missed, i feel the need to help you through this at times with you very limited knowledge of the english game. If your going to to put a time limit on expansion clubs to suit your argument please amke it apparent, otherwise it makes you look like you dont know what your talking about................

I never suggested anything otherwise, i'm not sure why you take that as a compliment its quite obvious, its like you agreeing with me that water is wet and me taking that as a compliment, but i digress.
so which clubs do nothing for rl and what do they recieve? examples please (with specifics).

Depends what you qaulify as a success? winning trophies? well more expansion clubs have done that than cas, producing locally born rl players? think they have all done that with varying degrees of sucess, producing internationals? another of the expansions clubs have done that, spreading the game to new areas? once gain they have all done that to differant extents.

the reason why i stick to the simple arguments with you guys is a bit like when you try and get a baby to walk before running, crawl before walking etc ....
if other clubs can grow and become something, so can all these other clubs that have missed out. so rather than moaning and blaming someone else for their problems, start investing in the club.
or maybe if CC fails, that will be the end of all their ailments

success is having a viable SL club.
having weak NL1 and 2 clubs isnt very succesful to me, especially after more than 50 years.
oh and to help you more on the history thing, liverpool city played at Knotty Ash. the main grand stand was donated from Knowsley Rd, the home of St Helens RLFC.

Point proven.

I know where south shields is, i've been on holiday there and seen a friend compete in the great north run on another occasion.
Where did i say anything about south shields?
And though i'm not expert on the tiny part of australia where rl is popular, i know enough thanks, probably more than you if your knowledge of english rl is anything to go by.
