What does naming players you think are thugs got to do with it, does that justify a local thug in your mind?

Trent Waterhouse is no benchmark at 31 years of age, he was at his best 7 years ago and got a small call back to Test level with the influence of his old Coach.

My main objection to him gaining a Test Jersey again lay with his Drug taking, surely England has enough talent that they do not need to reward a Druggie with a Test Cap?

the bold bit i can understand if you said that i wouldn't of objected as its a vailed objection. all i can say to that is, was you bothered by andrew johns? plus there is alot of players who do take drugs just never get caught but like i say this doesn't make it right but i think hock has done hes time and now shouldn't keep getting punished.

no i named them players because you said thuggish tatics dont work in the nrl but they do as there is player applying them weekly. as far as i'm concerned i haven't heard of any miss happenings with hock battering any one off the pitch? so he isn't a local thug just a nasty player on the rugby pitch which i do actually love about him.

i was naming the english players to have made it in the nrl and i mentioned burgess, then you mentioned hes allways getting injured as if its an indicator to not being good enough for the nrl. well if thats the case you may aswell of added sonny bill williams, tarick simms, roy asotasi, kerion foran, matty bowen and terry campese for not being good enough for nrl.

Darrell Goulding has a very good chance of getting in this year IMO, he's not only playing the best rugby of his life, but also the combination between Tomkins, Goulding & Charnley is making tries for fun week in, week out.

Yes, I know he may not be "as good as ____" in some peoples' opinion, but I'd rather have Goulding with Charnley than Inglis with him if the combination wasn;t working, despite Inglis being a clearly superior individual player.

Now to sit back and watch everyone sceam abuse at me...

Having two of the best players wont work unless they work well together.

Sure that combo is one of the most important in the team so pair them from teams so centres/wings know each other ie.

Charnley
Goulding
Hardaker
Hall

In terms of centres/wingers, combinations are only really important if the players available haven't got the necessary individual quality. Australia don't have that problem because they have both strength and depth in the three quarters, whereas we sorely lack it. Hopefully we are beginning to see that change a bit.
