I can't even get on the ticket site for Wembley. I assume that's a good sign.

I would hope that we could sell out Wembley the next time we have the 4 nations on our shores. Once people get into the habit, it becomes more natural for them to go again.

The years it took to rebuild wembley really took something out of the habit of RL fans getting used to going to Wembley.

It took nearly a whole generation out of that habit.

Don't think we will see a major increase in ticket sales between now and Saturday. The chances of a big walk up figure for non heartland games I think are quite low. Most people who are going will have already got tickets, a bit similar to the game in Cardiff.

Still set for a belting attendance though.

I reckon you'd be surprised what a last minute Groupon or similar in London/South East could achieve - lots of people looking for things to do in London at the weekend.

Yeah I agree that some sort of late promotion would boost the crowd figure. I was meaning more that a sudden late surge of established RL fans booking tickets is unlikely.

Quote: Craig_UK "The website is not very good. I click to buy tickets for the semi final, i am greeted with an image showing purple areas of areas SOLD OUT, which is pretty much everything. I click FAST TICKETS type in i want 2 tickets in section 144 and i can buy them, also tried it for section 102.

I was originally put off seeing the SOLDOUT signs and didn't want to sit in the gods. Why say sections are sold out when they are not ?!?

The website has been pretty hit and miss throughout the whole tournament.'"

I think they have to get a balance, not every single seat will be sold out in any of the sections.
But if there are only a couple of seats grouped together, and a fan wanted 7 together, they may have to click on every single section in the stadium. May put people off

the world cup team have gone in to Facebook update overdrive today, you can't accuse them of not trying!

Been confirmed that Richard & Adam from Britain's Got Talent, Carolynne Pool of the XFactor & the guy who is currently playing the lead in Les Mis in the West End are doing the pre-match stuff on Saturday.

Saw a brilliant, huge full colour TV screen advert through the murk this morning at Silicon Roundabout (Old Street) in London.

Just clicked on section 144 and clicked 10 tickets, they were offered to me. Same story in many other of the blocks at 50 pounds that have SOLD OUT. If i was a customer wanting to go to the game and all i see is SOLD OUT in all the decent areas i might think of watching it on the TV. Why have areas as SOLD OUT when they clearly are not, you can get up to 10 tickets in many of the SOLD OUT sections in the middle of the pitch.

Strange.

They were in St Helens last Saturday night for the Christmas lights switch on. Presumably the few thousand more ticket sales announced today over yesterday are all the teenage girls packing in to watch them do whatever it is they do! You couldn't do that yesterday (I couldn't anyway) so I presume they're sponsors returns like we had for the final. It's not ideal I suppose but who do you blame? I don't see why ticketmaster could have had a live system like they do for many gigs but maybe that would have cost the RFL more? Who knows.

Its certainly something worth looking at for next time.

Its easy to fix, change the big graphic of the stadium to show areas they have availability. It really is shoddy, the web site has been pretty shoddy throughout the tournament, missing images, broken links, lots of downtime and now showing areas as SOLD OUT when they are not.

for the French World Cup games Ticketmaster let you click on the blocks and see in detail what seats were free, if they can offer it at smaller grounds like Avignon & Perpinan surely the UK site could have managed it for Wembley?
