No I'm not - Brown started it at Shudds, Maguire took it to extremes at Wigan, and every team followed suit; we've never recovered.

It was Brown who introduced the tactic of slowing things down in the tackle and PTB before Maquire hit these shores. To a certain extent he also introduced the kicking game, the giants didn't have a team with a lot of good passing skills so he got Danny Brough to kick high and see what came off.

The RFL purposefully allowed a more ruck dominant game, taken to high levels by the likes of Brown, Maguire etc after England’s disappointing shown the the 08 RLWC. We went over with players used to the speed and scoot dominant play of SL only to nullified by the refereeing interpretations and ruck dominant NRL players. Ironically, since then the NRL have cleaned up that area massively where as the RFL allowed our games to regress.

Justin Holbrook – 1 final 1 loss
Steve Price - 3 finals 1 win
Price also hasn’t been here as long as Holbrook and inherited a squad that finished 10th.

| Nathan Brown and Newcastle Knights have parted ways with immediate effect.
Is there still time for him to replace Chris Chester and save Wakefield from the humiliation of relegation?

| Nathan Brown to any of Catalans, Leeds or Hull FC would be a good move for those clubs IMO.

The coach doing the worst job in SL this season is MacBanana.
Catalans have a very good squad and are underachieving more than any team and play the ugliest rugby I’ve ever seen. They’re a team full of divers, injury feigners and cheats, and always go beyond the line when it comes to cheap shots, high shots and knees in.
All that is down to Bananaman.

I agree. The Catalans squad is easily good enough for the top 5, and could be good enough for a place against St Helens at Old Trafford. However Steven McNamara is not good enough to coach them to the success they are capable of.
