I'm not impressed with Castlefords recruitment, Shenton apart the players signed are fairly non descript or downright underwhelming. After announcing they'd spend the full cap I thought they'd go out and add some real quality to go alongside Clarke & Carney but they went for Wheeldon, an ageing Lynch, Seymour and so on. I know a number of Cas fans and theyre pinning a lot of hope on the Webster/Carney partnership but Webster seems injury prone and is already a doubt for the start of the season, having lost the one special player they had I think Castleford are going to struggle.
Te main things in Castlefords favour are that they seem to have good depth and they have a top coach in Darryl Powel |

Warrington are no stronger, but not especially weaker.
Wigan are arguably weaker on the basis of losing richards and tomkins.
St helens are definitley stronger.
Leeds are probably slightly stronger on the basis of resolving the hooker issue and having plenty of young players coming through.
Top 5 are all evenly matched.

With lots of fans having Rovers down to finish 9th I had a confident smile that I didn't think we'd be anywhere near 9th and I then see a prediction for Rovers to finish 13th. That prediction has come wide of left field how did you come to your decision on that league ladder? |
