Since the point count against the season just gone (hence gateshead being relegated) does it matter?
Edit
Apparently the point deduction will count against them next season, bit harsh that relegated from a none relegation spot then deducted points. |

We have not ' avoided ' the drop , we ' dropped ' , but unfortunatley because of another clubs financial problems we have been placed into the Championship for the 2010 season

Although I do not agree with how just this is, I think it's a good move as the franchise system will only work if their is real competition for places in super league, clubs will not feel the need to develop in some areas if there are not many other teams knocking on the door.
