The number one priority used to be performances on the rugby pitch which resulted in promotion to the top flight, that is now a minor consideration.
To reiterate, I don't personally believe that the Halifax club are behind this as I don't think we are ready anyway but could well be in another couple of years.

I used to live away trips to Halifax. I never lived in the 50s but visiting Halifax gives you an idea of what it was like and I mean that in a good way!

Indeed. If stupidity did make way for common sense and the RFL put Fax in next year - this great team which is doing so well in the Championship (but has won nowt yet) would be dismantled anyway and, without a millionaire backer, would face the same fate as the current strugglers. Two more years and a half decent attempt at getting a 4,000+ average might see us considered - along with other prospective candidates. |
