Quote: Lingfield Warrior "
For as long as games have been played at Wembley there has never been an occasion where the crowd would have been higher in the north. The last double header was the highest crowd in that tournament. The 36k for the Kiwis was the highest crowd for that Tour. Wembley never fails.
London is a heartland for our game, if only we could turn that into more regular support. '"

Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "Sorry to divert the discussion back to the topic of the thread title, but does anyone know how many tickets have been sold for Wembley and Old Trafford by now?'"

I thought the Sold Out signs would have been up by now for the WC final considering how well sales seemed to be going even befor the comp. had begun.

If you go back a few pages, going off the website stadium picture it looks like around 60-65k sold so far for wembley.

There was an advert on Talk Sport this evening at drive time for Wembley games. It was worded terribly but good that theyre still pushing it.

I see David Beckham and his lads were at the England soccer match at Wembley tonight. Not too late for the RFL to invite them to the semis at Wembley on Saturday.

Beckham is clearly patriotic and loves his sport. If he had a few positive things to say after the match it would be priceless good publicity.

He was at that pointless England v NZL friendly on Sat. An invite could go down well!

I'm in no way saying its their prerogative but there has been little following from famous fans who usually rave about super league to their thousands of followers. Rfl should hand out a few invites.

So it is official 63,000 tickets sold for Saturday so far. Final pretty much sold out save for a few hundred £40 tickets. 280,000 fans at games to date. Not bad, even allowing for the doom mongers who lurk I the shadows of this forum or the land of the long white cloud, they will have to pleased - within reason of course, with those numbers.

Looking on the Club Wembley website and certain bars etc are exclusive to their respective member classes. How will that work on Saturday?

Was saying the same thing to my old man, there are plenty of RL enthusiasts within the public eye. Joey Barton, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, Bradley Wiggins, Lee Westwood, Andy Peters, Wayne Rooney, Carolynne Poole to name a few. Potential marketing reach of infinity on twitter.

This isn't a Club Wembley game, so Club Wembley members will have to buy a ticket or a box to get in.
