What is the definition of "in competition" and "in training"?

Yes. So every single Hull player could have quite legally taken this supplement provided that they stopped at least 12 hours before playing. Something Long seems to have misunderstood given his rant about being at risk of testing positive in the Derby.


In competition = playing a competitive match.

In training = between competitive matches.

Not 100% sure where friendlies fit but seems likely they'd count as in training.

It has been though it is 48 hours not 12. I think it's a case of people are either too stupid to understand or don't want to understand. As for Long, we all know exactly which camp he comes in to.

I agree about some people not wanting to understand (a Rovers fan wanting a pop, or a pro-union tabloid). But I think it's a bit unfair to say some are too stupid to understand. It's not a case of them being stupid, it's a case of their not being very good information out there.

That was my assumption. But "in competition" could simply mean game day.

The definition of "in competition" and "out of competition" need specifying. There can't be a grey area between the two if they're handing out 2 year bans.
