Does this all come down to money? It's a big gamble on a player who has never played Union and will have 12 months to settle in Union. Farrell and Eastmond where out for their first 12 months.

It's always a gamble when a player switches codes and it is ALWAYS about the money! |

I'm sure he could afford te transfer fee and not even notice. Amazing though, you take the international game out of the equation, with all unions money (figures that make yor eyes water) yet the facilities and club game is pretty average. With all his money yet bath still play in the stadium they do.

So you'd think the RFL, NRL and international federation would do something to try and keep these guys in the sport by giving them meaningful competitions, overseas tours and tournaments. Yet they've said nothing since the World Cup finished. What's left for the players to do do once they've won a championship and cup final? |

Let's be honest IF he goes it will be nothing to do with playing at at Twickers, playing Georgia in the RUWC, being run around in the Olympics and everything to do with the doubling of his salary. If Rusty could, and was stupid enough to, throw another million at him he wouldn't have any interest in RU

I don't really understand or watch union these days but can a player like Sam really be effective at centre in that game? Seems weird to me. A blockbusting all action forward playing out wide?!? Am I missing something?
