| Clear as day a loose carry and knock on at the end. Poor pundit comments from Wilkin, trying to claim controversy when it just isn’t there. Straight from the Garry Schofield school of say something controversial at any opportunity.

| Given how far offside Tonga were all match and the extras in the tackle to try slow us down I thought the ref was really very lenient on them.
They have a side that can improve, bit more thought/structure on top of the power/flair and they could be a real force in the game.
Whilst our tackling for the most part was outstanding our attack was limited, I honestly can't see us winning the final.

| Thought Tonga were sometimes way offside too, but to be fair you play to the refs whistle.

| Quote: Rhinoshaund III "Jon Wilkins talking out of his arris. Thats a loose carry every day in SL. Whitehead went for the ball yes, but he made enough of an effort for it to be a legitimate attempt at a tackle and its the ball carriers responsibility to keep hold of the ball.'"
You are exactly right.

| i'm delighted that we're in the final but i'm raging about us being 20-0 ahead with 7 minutes remaining and ending up perhaps very fortunate not to have lost. i don't know the rules so i can't comment on whether it should have been a try or not, but going by what some of you (plus Wilkin) are saying, it wouldn't have been a massive surprise if the try had been given. it's inexcusable that we put ourselves in that position in the first place. i hope they don't but i'm worried that the Aussies are going to blow us apart again next week.

| Tonga’s second try had a mile forward pass in the build up.

| I thought we pushed Australia in the first game, just hoping we've improved a bit and they have an off day!

Why in gods name would anyone watch that crap? its cricket season, i was at the pub having a little punt on the gee gees & lo & behold, the RL wasn't even on, everyone was watching the cricket, to tell you the truth son, there is very, very little interest in this farce
I just can't wait for it to end so there is no threat of injury & i can look forward to next season when the real footy starts

| Also have to applaud the Tongan fans for turning up in huge numbers and creating an incredible atmosphere at all matches. They've added so much to this World Cup. Unbelievable for a population of 100k.

Yes but Oz have improved more than us since that first game. Today we showed we can still blow a winning lead. Against Oz if we were to get to a winning position it's unlikely to be anywhere near 20 points given our predictable attack. I think Oz will take a lot of confidence from our performance today. Same old.

| England were great for 70+ minutes but, that ending was like Hull KR v SAlford all over again and damn close to the same "impossible" outcome.
Really happy we are in the final but, cant see past a 20 point Aussie victory.
The atmosphere and some of the "spiritual" chanting was superb.

Your comments could absolutely go both ways. That last 10 minutes the only English players onside in defence were the markers

| Right decision I thought - loose carry. Fafita is renowned for it.
Should have gone to the video ref, but I think there would have been the same result.
England very lucky that last play was Fafita not Tomo.
