From that article, if true, Craig has a bob or three so he could afford Sam anyway!

I think in the time it takes to type up the contact and get it signed, Craig will have made the transfer fee in interest alone



Problem is, if he pays the fee, then he "owns" the player and the RFU will have to ask nicely to get their hands on him......

Does this all come down to money? It's a big gamble on a player who has never played Union and will have 12 months to settle in Union. Farrell and Eastmond where out for their first 12 months.

It's always a gamble when a player switches codes and it is ALWAYS about the money!

Surely they go for the challenge.

I'm sure he could afford te transfer fee and not even notice. Amazing though, you take the international game out of the equation, with all unions money (figures that make yor eyes water) yet the facilities and club game is pretty average. With all his money yet bath still play in the stadium they do.

So you'd think the RFL, NRL and international federation would do something to try and keep these guys in the sport by giving them meaningful competitions, overseas tours and tournaments. Yet they've said nothing since the World Cup finished. What's left for the players to do do once they've won a championship and cup final?
