Time is not a luxury we have, I agree it should be done properly but other sports will continue to eat into our slice of the pie. The RFL have backed them by giving them a 3 year deal so they'll learn from mistakes and grow as will RL.
Given time, Celtic will be a success. The talent in South Wales in my experience is exceptional, the club will mirror that of the Auckland Warriors and provide welsh talent with a level playing field.

Yeh, the Bronquins have a lot to answer for.

| celtic should be building in the national leagues, building a squad base of welsh players, building fans on the back of success not endless defeats - the rfl brought them up too soon just because of where they are
but its too late to go back, they have to sink or swim in the superleague, i cant see past sink at the moment, not helping themselves with things like this,
these players arent even good enough to play in this league, if celtic survive to replace them, MUST DO BETTER!

what would you measure the m62 corridor as?
how do you be a good m62 corridor and a bad m62 corridor?
seems to me to be a geographical area rather than a population characteristic,
though clearly, not only are widnes fans the clear experts on immigration, but now they are also the countrys leading lexicographers!
now theres an interesting set of demographics for you fella!'"
I bow to your masterful knowledge of the subject O great one. However Will Alsop may disagree with you if he gets his vision - then you/we may be able to measure it.
Come on The M62 Corridor Vikings .
P.S. A good M62 corridor is on the West of the Pennines and a bad one is on the East of the Pennines .

| Quote: Nick NJ "Yes your're right, but those clubs are the core of RL and we don't need any more on a smaller scale. We need more geographical spread etc etc. RU clubs get more money becuase of their demographic profile and internationals, their fans are the difficult to target higher management group.
ALthough if you read the WIgan website it'd have you believe WIgan was an affluent area. The words of Comical Ali was more reliable.'"
So in your utopian world, Wigan, St’s & Leeds would champion the North of England, with the remaining clubs from where exactly?
Scotland, Ireland, The Midlands or what about another team from London - they’ve only been trying for nigh on thirty years, with unparalleled success.
The RFL are the instigators of all this, the same motley crew who, failed to dock Wigan the agreed points deduction a couple of years back, followed by having no credible punishment in place when Hull played an ineligible player in the C.C last year and finally fast tracking a team into S.L to prove how easy it is to expand the game .

Feel free to "have a pop" if it makes you feel better. My feeling of some sympathy to the club is regardless of if they have strayed outside of the rules. I think that they've been thrown in at the deep end ill prepared and should have had support from the RFL. This situation is simply an embarrassment to the game.

Were they? It's just that the article doesn't say that. Where did you get this information from?

god your as daft on here as on the celtic website
professional rl is a business, you see, and concentrate here, people get paid for doing it, you got that?? paid!
now, and try and keep up, i think you will find that just about every legal enterprise who pays people is a business in some form or other, they make money, its called income,
and they pay people and bills, thats called expenditure, you ok so far?
and......and this is the big one, some one has to say that if the spending money bit is greater than the earning money bit they are going to foot the bill.............soooooooooo every rugby league club is a business unless they never pay any bills.
your getting this free this one time only, next time you get big words and i charge.. ok?

But one club was refused a SL licence last year for poor financial mismanagement. Do you think Celtic will be refused for 2012 if they are found guilty of employing people without correct Visas?

Problem is the RFL keep trying to artificially produce a level playing field , thats one of the reasons we are discussing Celtic right now
For the last 2 years they [ RFL ] have been allowing Celtic to flout rules to get them into a position to enter SL
They are doing it again at this moment in the Championship with Toulouse , it doesn't work , when they have to remove these loopholes the relevant club then struggles and end up in the mess we seem to have in Wales

Let's not forget that there was already massive established and arguably world class RL talent in New Zealand before The Warriors came to fruition.

I don't know. I can't predict the future.
It was a question solely aimed at the (thankfully) small band of anti-expantionistas on this thread.

Which is exactly why we have the shambles we currently have , because anybody with an iota of business sense would have seen that the Celtic Crusaders are no where near a strong enough business to be trying to compete with the other businesses in SL
And who decided to put them there ?
The people who are running the whole business , so what does that tell you about them ?
So I suggest you use those ' big ' words you know and pen a letter to the RFL explaining why they should not have put a totally unready club into SL and why they cannot force the expansion of the game as they seem to think they can

Let's not forget that 17/24 of the World Cup winning squad didn't play for the Warriors.
The talent pool was already there.

sometimes you get to a point where you need to sink or swim, thats where celtic were, they werent an organically grown club, with small increases in success bring small increases in income constantly pushed forward by a willing public,
simply because that has never, and isnt ever likely to happen with any club, anywhere, not even the heartland clubs
Quote: Barnacle Bill "Were they? It's just that the article doesn't say that. Where did you get this information from?'"
if you look just next to that article on the top right hand corner you will see a link to a story from 16th july when the UKBA were already investigating this
