| I can see why the ref gave a sin bin for that. You can easily argue that the Hull KR player has run into the path of the Cas man. If it’s a penalty in that situation it’s pretty much got to be a yellow card as well.
I can also see why the ref gave the Richardson? try and didn’t penalise for obstruction. It looked like the Cas man in front of him was genuinely going for the ball but it went behind him. Though personally if I’d been reffing I’d probably have sent it to the VR. Think that decision is reasonable if it was a non-televised game but was surprised he didn’t use the video ref.
Thought it was good reffing not to sin bin Dagger too. Yes it was a shoulder charge but it was a controlled one and was nowhere near the head.
So 1 good decision and 2x close ones that in real time I agreed with.

Yep.Different aims for our season's. Looking like another year of strife for us despite Smith getting a tune out of some less celubrious players
Effort and spirit in abundance just need key players back plus at least 1 high quality prop. Will get worse before it gets better.

Fair.
The best team won no doubt but that yellow was pivotal.

No chance. Your player made no effort to collect the ball. He shoulder barged straight into Millington who was going after the ball. 100% a penalty. If he was going for the ball fair enough. Watch it back. His eyes were on Millo and not the ball.
Also no mention of your try which came from a blatant obstruction on the Cas player trying to collect the high ball in your 10 yard line. Again.... Watch it back if you don't agree.

Might be more than 1. He did same thing last year. Not ideal at all.

| If you can get past the ref bashing, I thought Clares try was up there with the Makinson's and Johnstone tries, unfortunately for him not as often.

| How easy was it for Cas to make yards. That was ridiculously easy for Cas. Hull KR looked powder puff and the lack of contact in the tackle was shocking.

Yeah I agree. I lost count of the number of clean breaks Cas made right through the middle of the pitch.

| Castleford's second try was a clear obstruction, the rest were very well taken.
The turning point was Minchella bombing a try scoring opportunity to level things up.
Too many youngsters on the field at the same time was always bound to be an issue last night against a side nearly at full strength.
Not panicing yet though. Get Mulhern, Lawler and Hauraki back on the field with at least Quinlan and Ellis and we'll get some shape back.

You seriously think the turning point was Rovers bombing a try. The turning point was when Cas stopped bombing about 6 of theirs.

Actually, yes I do. Had Rovers scored that, our confidenxecwoukd have increased, instead, what confidence we had left was knocked and theirs increased.

Cas were already cutting you up the middle with regularity. It was only Cas's poor execution that kept you in it.
