I'm not going to agree to Thursday being a legitimate reason for not attending. Other sports would get a full house on a Thursday so why can't we?

A kids season ticket at Wigan is £40. How many parents aren't going to take their kids to the match because of it being a schoolnight, especially with matches not finishing until after 10 sometimes because of long video ref decisions?

The only other sport I can think of with regular Thursday night fixtures in the UK is Europa League Football matches and those rarely sell out.

Really? Please name those other sports that have huge Thursday attendances. Not that many even play on them.

I admit I don't get to the DW that often, but it's definitely far more adults than kids. Besides, it should only really affect primary school age kids anyway. Maybe we shouldn't base the financial side of the sport on getting kids in - especially given their season tickets are £40? There's a huge amount of young adults (who don't worry about schoolnights) who have expendable income to burn. Blaming kids for poor attendance is just burying your head in the sand. "If you build it, they will come". Target the right people with the right product and you'll sell, no matter what the product is. Wigan - and to a lesser extent the sport in general - aren't offering the right product at the moment.

Deliberate offsides, constant interference in the ruck, ball strips, moving off the mark, play acting. You're absolutely awful to watch although you do bore sides to defeat on occassion

By the time Ratchford touched the ball, the video ref clearly showed that his legs were over the dead ball line so it was a perfectly correct decision.
