Surely there's enough to criticise the refs about, like not sending players off for dangerous play, or getting a decision totally back to front, without splitting hairs over this?? It was direct first contact to the head, after all. At the very, very least, it was a yellow, but if it looked bad enough for a red in real-time to JC then you can't really moan.

So, let me get this right, in your twisted little world no one's allowed to criticise referees unless they're willing to be a referee?

Agreed. My initial thought was yellow but it's bad enough to be borderline red card.

If the context of the rule book is applied in every game for every team then I don't have a problem. The problem is it's not and the rule book only applies to certain teams. I look forward to games with 10 men a side...
