| Quote owiepob="owiepob"Im just a bit old fashioned - i thought RL was about entertainment. Qunis don't produce it in sufficient volume to atttract anything that most RL fans consider a respectable crowd. '"
I thought RL (and any other team sport where people pay to watch their local team) was about winning?
Quins haven't wo much in recent years, but we're not the only ones, and we've never finished bottom of the league.
Fortunately we have a wealthy benefactor for the foreseeable future. We haven't been into administration during the period since licencing came about (unlike Widnes, Crusaders, Wakefield etc.) so I don't really see what point you're trying to make. If those clubs (well, some of them) can be trusted to come back stronger why not us? What has the size of the crowd got to do with it if the club remains solvent? (Unlike others with bigger crowds.)

| Quote Channel Islander="Channel Islander"...meanwhile, Wakefield sign another overseas player that is, no doubt, not good enough for Super League.'"
The much hyped PNG full-back during the Four Nations Ryan Tongia was meant to be real good but looked a bag of nerves and possibly the worst player in the tournament. Hope for Wakey's sake he turns out to be the player that was talked about prior to the Four Nations and not anything close to what he showed on the pitch to the rugby league world last year. Either that or he is and give a local player or any British player a chance and I'm also happy.

| I wondered how long it would be till the flatties started going after Quins. They're all hyped up after ridding the sport of those nasty Welshmen and now they can turn their attention to the southerners.

| Got to say a lot of good things have come out of the " London" franchise since Fulham all those years back.
But I've also got to say I think Fulham/Broncos/Quins has had it's time at the top table.
How long do you flog a dead horse.

I was thinking the same thing. How long is the RFL going to put up with Salford and Wakefield with their low crowds and poor junior development. These clubs have been playing Rugby League for well over a 100 years and yet still struggle.

How long is that ' foreseeable future ' PoD ?
I truly do hope that a situation like Mebourne happens and either through the governing body or directly a London club can be maintained and grows , partly because if any more clubs are lost from the Championship , it really will become pointless

Obviously your irony meter has been switched off. Huddersfield1895 could probably have included the Giants in his remark, too, especially as they have, eventually, turned the corner and produced a good side followed by good crowds.
It is worrying that the crowds are not showing up at Quins. Yet as long as they have a benefactor willing to sure up their finances out of his own pocket, no-one should be bitching about their continued SL existence - certainly not any club who are in the same boat.

If Wakey has such bad youth development then why is half your side littered with ex Wakey players?
I'd like to add that whilst Wakeys crowds are not quite as good as Hudds, there are a few differences, one being that your season tickets are dirt cheap, two being that you play in a state of the art ground, whereas Wakey play out of a ground with no cover on terraces that are so worn in that the concrete is visibly sloped! Three being that your owner has been able to bankroll your club and its expensive players for many a season.
Some clubs fans have such short memorys, and have been lucky in many respects regarding their ownership and stadium. Having a soccer team has been a blessing for the likes of Wigan, Hull and Huddersfield.
Anyway I digress (It's easy to when people open their mouth without actually thinking much) With the very important public enquiry decision due in a few months time, Wakeys future rests on that decision and it could either turn out to make or break us as a club.

My club is not the Huddersfield Giants. I do however have the upmost respect for Ken Davey and what he has done for the Huddersfield club.
A quick check reveals that Quins have more Acadmey produced players in the first team squad than wakey and Salford, and you know as well as everybody else that your club is drinking at the last chance saloon as regards building a new ground, or a total revamp of Belle Vue.
