Once Salford and Saints grounds are complete, we'll be in a much better position in the northwest.
Assuming Saints, Wigan and Wire continue as top clubs, cup ties between two of them will be common. With each club having a top class ground there'll be no need to travel any further for a decent venue.
Salford ground would be an excellent venue half way between Saints/Wigan and the west yorkshire clubs.

I think that could be the sticking point as if the BBC were happy with Wigan v Saints Saturday and Leeds v Cas Sunday it would probably have been announced by now.
The Leeds game on the Saturday makes it more difficult unless it is Doncaster though ticket allocation could be the problem there. Sheffield United are away and I'd guess that is the other realistic alternative if the Yorkshire tie has to be on the Saturday. |
