Exactly, given my abilities I would be passing the exams within a month and on Sky merrily waving off Wigan tries within 2.
Are you a ref Leaguefan? You always seem to defend them when I state the truth on here about the officials.

| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"They say they cannot use the video for forward passes because of angles and the like, but that is rubbish. They can do it, they just haven't bothered yet. I could invent the required tech in seconds, just throw a GPS into the ball. If it records a forward motion from the hands, it explodes once it hits the hands of the receiving player. Job done and it makes it more spectacular for Sky, which they would be delighted with.'"
indeed. they say VR cant deal with forward passes, but the sky team who have the benefit of multiple monitors with multiple camera feeds almost always call forward passes as forward passes, and they like the rest of us watching the game on TV (fed to us through CAMERAS) almost always get it right. especially with exmaples like todays.
im also all for the exploding ball

| Quote Spongolium="Spongolium"Steveo Made a great comment on air today about the "other Sport" not dealing with forward passes as well as league. This had to be a joke right?
Superleague has been absolutly shocking this year for forward passes. Refs seem to be ignoring passes to allow try scoring opertunities. When are the RFL going to crack down on this? It's making a mockery of the game. What the hell are the touch judges there for?'"
Time to use the video ref and bollox to "the problems with angles". They get so many wrong now that even if they got a few wrong with the VR it wouldn't be as many as without. It's a joke these days.

Thought Wigan were let back into the game at 10-0 down to a dodgy penalty. Referees need to get a grip on Tomkins.

Interesting new cheat tactic isn't it. What can we call this one? The washing machine? The forward roll of cheat? The crocodile roll of death?

| it's getting ridiculous now, fair play to ganson though today,he chalked off 2 giants tries for forward passes which both looked marginal, but that wasn't a sky game though.

| I'm a qualified ref, and I honestly cannot believe the shocking standard of superleague refs. Alibert and Ganson are the only refs that stand out to me as ones that can hack the top level. The lower tier refs arn't a heck of a lot better, but at least they see the obvious.
Childs, Silverwood, Thaler are absolutly shocking. It's understandable though, as a 6 year old could pass the reffing tests to qualify. 95% of the posters here could pass them.
I'm honestly wondering, if refs have been told not to give forward passes if they offer try scoring chances. The amount i've seen this year is unbearable.

| A couple of forward passes ruled correctly in the Salford vs Warrington game, from both sides. The ref got in great positions to see them.

Wigans try did look a bit forward but it couldn't have been that far forward surely. I couldn't believe it when Melis try was given. Good stuff
I do not think I have ever seen Michael Dobson pass the ball backwards. If the referees ever started calling forward passes HKR would have to rederegister him.
I have to agree with Saddened If the refs don't call forward passes and don't give any penalties (which seems to be the in thing at the moment) what is the point in having them. We can start with the touch judges, they can pay to get in like the rest of us, at least we bother to watch the game.

The Wigan pass was so easy to spot as the ball was pass on the line and the player took the ball past the line. Quite what the TJ was looking at that point is a mystery to me, because at that point in time that was all he had to look for.
