“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club. Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you. "Rugby League is a simple game played by simple people. Rugby Union is a complex game played by wankers." L.Daley 2005:

Quote: Wadski "Christ all mighty. I was watching delayed coverage (kids bedtime). I usually catch up about 20 minutes during the game but I could just not keep my eyes off it.

Thought Morley was dodgy in his smashing of Hansen at the end - I would expect him to be up before the beak for it. But it's what he needed to do - they needed the ball back and the 2 points was potentially worth it.

Referee played a blinder too and contributed to the atmosphere.

Brilliant game and a great advert for the game - Anyone watching their first Superleague game will be back.'"

Personally thought it was a great hit and credit to Hansen for holding on.

As Emo Philips said "You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle-aged woman: Stuff you pay good money for in later life.:12130.jpg

Quote: fc baldy "Warrington will be tough if they keep Monaghan and Briers on the pitch every week.........Myler is what he is cracked up to be.'"

Agreed - thought he was superb tonight in attack and, more surprisingly to some, in defence. Wil only get better and better.

I think Tony Smith will be delighted with most aspects of the performance even in defeat. That was a game we lost through a lack of composure in the second half - silly penalties and passes that were never on. Threw it away after dominating which is disappointing but when we click and get Solo fit we should do well.

Cracking game and the ref was excellent too, let it flow and let the players get on with the game, no controversial decisions, maybe sometimes a little lax at the play the ball but I'd rather it be like that than a whistle fest.

I thught Warrington got the rub of the green early on and certainly seemed to be a little more fatigued than Wigan in the latter stages (by the way - did Wigan really only use 10 interchanges, and if so, why?). Thought the Morley hit at the end was a little suspicious. Then again, he got away with last week's one. I was a little dubious about how the Sky duo talked up Wire last week, felt they were poor against Cas. Certainly raised their game this week and if they can play anything like their best consistently they'll do well. I'd agree about needing to keep Briers and Monaghan firing.

Wigan deserved it overall. They seem a more balanced side than last year, particularly in the forwards. Joel Tomkins in particular seems to have progressed, and grown some if I'm not mistaken.

Slight aside - do you think Eddie consciously chose the phrase about 'what they put in the tea at Wigan'? Better not said after this week IMO.

He showed no intention to tackle and all he seemed to do was get the shoulder into Hansen. Hence my thoughts.

Like I said it was what he needed to do. The game was on the line and they needed the ball.

You're bang on about Hansen. He was all over the place but that ball was not coming out.

Really good game. Shame Bridge didn't kick the goal because neither side deserved to lose. That and it would have given us a chance to go top. icon_wink.gif

You would have to speak to Wakefield about that.

There aren't enough Lancashire teams.

Every match between Wigan, Saints and Warrington is faster than any match involving an east of the pennines side. icon_razz.gifIMP:

Clearly not when you are having to include teams from Chesire in your list.

We don,t do political boundaries here, Warringtons ground is now 3 miles inside "native" Lancashire. Runcorn Highfield on the other hand......

kcab sfrawdder Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg

What was noticeable last night was that Warrington are turning into Leeds , lots of lying on and interfiering at the PTB

It was an excellent game though
