Just Google ‘Italy Coronavirus’ and there are multiple publications running recent stories with eye witness accounts on what is happening there. Take your pick.

Googled, not one article saying they are chosing who dies, the articles that are linked are The Grundy, The Lefty (or the indy to those who find it credible). And the BBC who haven't accepted the General Election or Brexit outcome yet.

I wouldn’t have put it like that but it’s just a form of words (journalists have got to eat like the rest of us) - if you look beyond the headlines and actually read the articles and eye witness accounts you’ll understand it isn’t far off. ICUs are full to the brim so they are unable to treat every patient who requires intensive care properly. That’s part of the reason why the death count is shooting up.

Exactly this, last September pre corona virus I fell ill with bilateral pneumonia that's in both lungs and called double pneumonia to me and thee, also severe respiratory problems and a heart problem which caused a lot of concern to the critical care consultant in the ICU, due to the pressure on the NHS with the shortage of beds it's his decision which is final, as I was told by a doctor in the ICU that if the consultant did not think he could have saved me he would not have found a bed in there for me, so I can imagine the pressure these people are under now with this virus as to who gets priority.

Event though he is right ?
Being realistic is not scaremongering.
When the BBC leads with a feature about talking to your loved ones about dying is that scaremongering or being pragmatic.

Read what he said - He was talking about people being left to ‘live or die’ because the NHS refuse to admit them. The reality so far is that only two small hospitals have reported ‘critical incidents’ due to running out of beds and one of those has now stood down that critical incident. We are still someway off running out of beds and ventilators and the NHS can manage if people abide by current restrictions. Scaremongering.

| Quote: Steph Curry "I don’t want to give too much away on a public forum but certain people in the UK are being left to either live or die whilst not being allowed to be admitted to hospital. You can say I’m talking rubbish but I know for a fact it’s official guidance from the nhs due to my job. It’s scary!'"
Some of you on here know me, and I hope you know when I’m being serious. A close family member works for a government department that receives, analyses, and deals with financial information within the Uk. His wife is a hospital consultant. He hinted to me days ago what was likely to come re, the government financial planning, and virus outbreak. Last night he told me his wife was being trained for intubation those who arrive at ICU, and that 7 Italian doctors have already died working in Italian hospitals, so he is understandably concerned.
I’m sure we all have felt that things have changed this past couple of weeks, something feels different, and it’s worrying.
Regardless of our political choices, this government has lots of information that We don’t, and acting in our and the country’s best interests. I think we should all follow their instructions, re social gathering, stockpiling, and consideration for others. This Is a sort of war, and the NHS is the front line. We all need to support them and help them by looking after ourselves staying healthy.
I awoke early this morning, thinking about those family members, if I didn’t take this virus outbreak seriously enough before then, well I do now.
Stay safe everyone.
The NHS, workers are putting their lives on the line to save everyone, unfortunately not everyone can be saved.

So far being the operative words. Maybe you can explain why the current trajectory of the virus will result in less of an impact on our health service than it is doing on Italy's, given we've imposed fewer restrictions on our population and those we have imposed have been put in place more slowly in terms of where the respective numbers of cases are/were? No scaremongering on my part, I'm merely curious how you're of the opinion quoted.

Doctors in Italy and Spain are already doing that. Drs in Italy are taking respirators of sick people to give to people who are sick because they have a better prognosis.
We know that the Government are planning to issue advice to drs on issues around co morbidity and when the beds are full this will tell them who they will leave to die.
If you are over 70 with diabetes and COPD they will not put you on a ventilator if there is 30 year old who needs the ventilator as well. Drs in this country make those decisions every day in hospitals. Do we give a heart transplant to the 18 year old girl or the 55 year old obese man.
Just do. The maths
Britain’s chief medical officer has said that “if we have less than 20,000 DEATHS THAT WILL BE A GOOD RESULT”
The mortality rate is 1% best estimate
20% need medical treatment in hospital.
10% need ICU
So if the government chief medical officer is right
20,000 minimum dead
200,000 in ICUs
400,000 in hospital
We only have 4 to 5,000 ventilators hence 190,000 might not get a ventilator .
That is why social distancing and isolation is important
It is that serious enough.
