I doubt they spend significantly more than Cas or any of the other Yorkshire clubs do. Not sure why Wakefield are relevant to this discussion though.

Emphasis on former
Disappointed that very few people in Toulouse knew of the game last night, though it didn't help that the game didn't take place in the city. That said, it's a beautiful place to visit and I'm sure the hundreds of Leythers made their mark - TO were by far the better side and were wonderful hosts, can't wait to visit them again next season.

Do you really need so many emoticons and quotes? I liked your slimlined posts at the start of the year.

The LER finals are usually in Toulouse. When was the last time Carcassonne held it?

I was referring to the LER Cup final, which had been held at Carcassonne for the past 7 years. This year was a break with the trend, which is why I was confused, forgetting that it had been moved to Albi.
The regular championship competition final was held in Toulouse from 1951 until 1993. After that it was held at a variety of places, including six times at Narbonne, twice in Paris, only twice at Toulouse city, and once in suburban Colomiers. Last year it was held at Beziers.

So anyway, why wasn't you at your team's game at The Stoop on Sunday, + what's the story with the AR ban and golf forum saga

Probably sod all. Like Salford and Celtic did. If you have a good stadium, good financial backing and a solid support and local player base you have no chance in the new fangled SL franchise system unfortunately.

| TO and Le Cats are doing very well but the sad truth is the Domestic league in France is in a very very poor state. What can be done to improve this when the 2 best teams don't want to even play in it?

If you saw the Cup final on Sunday you would not think the LER is in a very, very poor state.
There was a lot of good talent on show there.
A poor state maybe.
But once Toulouse gets into Super League the number of clubs playing the game should rise in the greater Toulouse metropolitan area, as happened in French Catalonia after Les Catalans joined SL. At that point TO will be able to run a strong LER side as its feeder, and LER clubs Albi and Villeneuve should also benefit.
