No, far from it.

I'm a RL fan first and foremost. If Celtic help grow RL and bring more money into the game then i'm all for it.

I don't want clubs in SL based on tradition and sentiment, I want RL to grow rather than remain a sport played within the M62 corridor. It is harsh and I understand the resentment but RL is a business.

As for the big 3, it's debatable who those clubs are now...

I can understand certain groups of fans in particular feeling a resentment towards Celtic, but I can't understand the people who are almost willing them to fail. Celtic have another 2 years in SL after this year before the next round of franchises and I hope they can learn from the things that have gone wrong this season and bounce back and strengthen.

I too am all for growing the game but it was plain to me then and todays debacle has purely confirmed that Celtic were not ready for the highest level.

how do you be a good m62 corridor and a bad m62 corridor?

seems to me to be a geographical area rather than a population characteristic,

though clearly, not only are widnes fans the clear experts on immigration, but now they are also the countrys leading lexicographers!

As I've posted on the Crusaders forum, I hope they get through this.

I don't hold any resentment towards them any more and nor do a great deal of Widnes fans. Any early resentment passed when the realisation was that the RFL were the villains of the peace. They were then and they are now.

Celtic were simply the easiest and most obvious targets of any ire by fans who felt seriously let down.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to this then meets the eye

Time is not a luxury we have, I agree it should be done properly but other sports will continue to eat into our slice of the pie. The RFL have backed them by giving them a 3 year deal so they'll learn from mistakes and grow as will RL.

Given time, Celtic will be a success. The talent in South Wales in my experience is exceptional, the club will mirror that of the Auckland Warriors and provide welsh talent with a level playing field.

celtic should be building in the national leagues, building a squad base of welsh players, building fans on the back of success not endless defeats - the rfl brought them up too soon just because of where they are

but its too late to go back, they have to sink or swim in the superleague, i cant see past sink at the moment, not helping themselves with things like this,

these players arent even good enough to play in this league, if celtic survive to replace them, MUST DO BETTER!
