Looks like it's to be redrawn
For me I would give the 4 sl teams left that drew lower league opposition byes then the 6 remaining sl teams who were drawn against each other put into another draw..2 get byes..other 4 get to play out who joins the remaining 6

I don’t see the point in running the CC this year to be honest. Scrap it and just run SL and bring it all back in 2021, it’s becoming a farce.

Mainly sponsorship money I assume. Even without fans the RFL could probably collect all of the sponsorship cash from Coral etc. Maybe also TV money from BBC. |

Assuming the BBC still want to cover it, they might have some Eastenders repeats or Bargain Hunt to show instead.

Hahaha. It’s just a disaster at the minute amongst and post a terrible ordeal and pandemic. A lot of things more important than sport right now but clearly there needs to be plans put into place for a restart which is understandable.
It would mean Widnes taking their players off furlough for this one fixture with very limited revenue. Financially it’s a no brainier for Widnes and will be interesting to see what other clubs do similar.
Not worth it for one game. The rfl have announced a separate competition which isn’t compulsory in August for championship teams. I have a feeling that won’t go ahead and the majority already know they won’t be participating. |

Quite right, it’s absolutely not worth it for one game. Not even worth it for that stupid tournament either.
