Some fans think it's just a gimmick and a none story, but Catalans have just set a Record regular round crowd for super league in a non RL country. Well done Catalans Barcalone FC and all the Wigan fans who made it over. |

But when Sarries/Quins do it in a "gimmick" game the RL community belittle it.....not to mention the Union lot took a final to Spain last year and got 52k in a 53k seat stadium......can you imagine a Grand Final in Barca featuring Catalans? I reckon they'd get close to filling the place...... |

If it was Leeds playing them yes I would have been there, if it was a magic weekend or CC final I would have been there as a neutral, Barcelona is great and I go to a place up the coast diving every few years, only commented yesterday wish it was Leeds playing or wish it was whenever we go over in September and I would have gone regardless.
And as for opinions that's the get out clause for all the ill informed small minded, preferring tea over coffee is an opinion, red over white wine, rock over pop, that's an opinion. Options are not facts just because you say "it's my option" does not mean it cannot be wrong or cannot be challenged. |

As do a lot when RL sides enter into similar gimmickry. Personally, I'd be slow to knock a gimmick that managed to bring in numbers that would take my club the best part of half a season to match. |

Or 2 seasons if you're a London Broncos fan like me.......31,555 is an epic achievement and I would be disappointed if a repeat game wasn't already being penciled in for 2020. |

Of course there’s an article on the rugby league part of the website. I think people are rightfully complaining about the prominence of the BBC’s coverage of it.
It was a big game. The 2nd biggest sports event involving a British team yesterday. Yet little mention of it and on the BBC Sport site the article is below articles on Taekwondo, women’s football, netball and Ice Hockey.
I don’t expect the BBC to make it major national news. I just think we rarely get the prominence our crowds deserve and this is another example of it.

The stark reality is, only one man and his dog follow RL, and his dog only watches because the man feeds him.
The game is stale, has been for a while. I honestly believe RL has run it's course, there better things to do than watch the guy in the middle ruin what was 9nce a great game. |

8k average is 3td tier soccer standard. How anyone can demand more covwrage based on a demographic that is northern and consists of 50,000 people watching 6 games a week that gets 150,000 TV viewers a game is laughable......
Eurovision gets 200,000,000 viewers and yet is derided....... That's the reality of todays media.... |
