Gareth O'Brien was excellent in what was a really good game to watch.

Maybe I've just been missing rugby but I've been pretty happy with what I've seen so far. Aside from the Cas v Leigh game, they've been tough, hard fought games which could have gone either way. Even the Cas v Leigh game was watchable due to Cas playing some nice stuff.

I wouldn't say it was a brilliant game, but it was a very decent contest, and certainly a lot more entertaining than Leeds and Saints last week.

What on earth was Justin Carney doing when James Child approached him ? He seemed to put his fore-arm up to his face.

It was bizarre, but nowt in it.

You also have to wonder what on earth James Child was doing to basically just barge into Carney like that.

Carney banned for 2 games. Ridiculous.

RFL are a f*cking joke. You can add this to the long list of over the top bans/fines we've been given over the past few seasons and a lot of Salford fans believe there really is an RFL vendetta against our club. Although if you ask a certain Hudds supporter this ban is nowhere near sufficient and I'm sure she'll be petitioning the government for his immediate deportation for human rights abuses!

If you did that in a crowded barb you'd expect a smack in the mouth. If he'd put out the flat of his hands fair enough but his action was aggressive and deserves a ban.

Consistency is all we ask for, Jamie Peacock back end of last season springs to mind as one example. Next I will get told it is different!

Some utter spouted on here. Can't stand Carney but Child walked into him, Carney did raise his arm which was bizarre but he didn't push and he wasn't aggressive.

Same rubbish being spouted by the usual suspects. He could have hugged Childs, given him a kiss on the cheek and he'd still have got a ban. Total lack of consistency and someone (likely playing for one of the "big" clubs) will do far worse in the coming weeks and the RFL will do sweet FA.

I'd like to know if Child reported this as he did nothing at the time and it'll likely be some fat ar$ed, jobsworth desk monkey at the RFL who has probably flagged it.
