There were probably several thousands ways of finding out there was a game today, no exaggeration. I've been inundated with emails from the RFL, I read about RL in the press, I read the forums on here. It is all over the RLWC website, the RFL website, the Super League website, the Welsh RL website and the England RL website.

Short of Sam Tomkins coming around to your house and driving you to Wrexham, not sure what you were after.

Yes it's on RL websites, hardly great advertising attracting new people to the games. Media advertising has been poor. Then there is the product on offer. When money is tight it's hard to sell a series which isn't competitive at all

Wales would have benefitted so much more playing against Scotland and/or Ireland. England, if they had to play anyone, would have got a better game against the Knights.

IMO Wales, Scotland and Ireland should have played for the 'Celtic Cup'. The Knights should be playing a two game series (home and away) against France. And personally I think an extra few weeks rest for our top players would have been far more beneficial to them, their clubs and the England side ahead of the 2013 season and the world cup that follows it than any number of cricket scores against whipping boys.

That is the story I heard, I am pretty sure that we asked NZ and they said they would only play one test.

Same fixture twelve months ago at Leigh - 10,300 which looked great on camera as the capacity is around 14k.
Should have gone back there - slap bang in the middle of the catchment area for Wire, Wigan, Saints, Widnes and Salford fans, a good number of Leigh locals, within 1hr of travelling for fans from North Wales and West Yorkshire.

Pointless game and playing in a empty 3rd division stadium live on a Saturday afternoon is embarrasing.

Well.. I am on my 6th incarnation on these boards (long story) , so please don't dismiss me as a know-nowt light-weight supporter despite my low post count . I would have sold my ears to attend the game today had I known it was on .
Had Stompkins knocked on my door to inform me of the game my 8yr old lad would have kicked the count out of the rat-faced scrote for daring to enter blue and amber territory without writing for a permit .

A lot of people aren't that tied up in schedule. YOu have to tell people there is an international coming up because they wont prioritise or remember one is coming up.
