Bradford, Huddersfield, Catalans could. I think Salfords crowds will improve a lot when they move. What's Hull KRs prospects for the future? Wakey's a huge place so i'd say they have a chance. Then Cas, Crusaders and Quins. I'm a bit dubious about these. I'd love them to be able to do it.'"
There are 52 miles between Cas and the nearest SL club to the East - with the new stadium earmarked to be on the junction of the M1, A1 and M62, Cas is arguably the easiest team for people as far north as Gateshead and as south as Doncaster (after / if they move to their new stadium) to get to, and challenging with Hull FC/KR for fans to the east, and with Wakefield for fans in the city.
The ability to attract fans is not limited to the size of your locale.

| Wigan 15423 - They are planning for avg 20k in next few seasons!!
Leeds 15064 - Can and should be able to get better I'd say. Are there any plans to rebuild South Stand?
Hull FC 13084 - Plans to expand stadium, a really good core support, could be breaking the 15k mark soon
St. Helens 11515 - In new stadium you would think they should be able to push the 15k mark
Warrington 10880 - plans to expand to 18k over next few years (then 22k, I think) Good ticket pricing and continued success will see success there
Bradford 8919 - Will they see those terrific crowds they used to pull again?
Hull KR 8159 - Aren't there plans for expansion? Would imagine with redevelopment 10k is a poss
Huddersfield 8066 - Great stadium and done really well to increase attendances thus far, dunno about further increase
Catalans 6868 - Down because of building work, but would have thought 10k is within reach
Castleford 6423 - Lower than usual, with new stadium can see Cas breaking the 10k avg
Wakefield 6158 - Belle Vue is what holds Trin back, would have thought we can break the 10k mark soon after moving in
Crusaders 5610 - Lots of potential, here's hoping!
Salford 4200 - be a few year off getting 10k,but with new stadium should be doable given time
Harlequins 3358 - well...

| With the East stand extension and a decent North stand, a succesful HKR will draw over 10k imo.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that Quins crowds are a disgrace (that's the numbers...not the actual supporters themselves), but to say Salford will do well in time is a little rich......

Can't see any of these big increases TBH. Lots of jobs going to disappear in the next couple of years, fans will pick and choose the games they attend. You mention Wigan averaging 15,000,going up to 20,000.Why?
Wigan playing their best and most successful rugby for years, surely anyone remotely interested in the club will already be attending.
I can see attendances standing still or even dropping at many clubs. Clubs will have to come up with cut-price deals on tickets if they can afford it.

Tut tut tut, no being positive on the VT please!
Wigan will push towards 20k and further in my opinion, Ian Lenegan's way of getting his vast amounts of money is to promo the club and get bums on seats. When the Wigan Athletic bubble bursts, the RL club will prosper from that.
I understand the point about jobs and money being an issue, but everyone will want recreation and if this means stopping paying 45 quid to watch a boring football game and go watching an rl game for less than half that and with most clubs doing great season tickets for families, i know what i'd do. A Man Utd die-hard fan has already said to me that he could have bought a Salford season ticket for him and his daughter for the price he paid for just him to go to 3 Man Utd games with a few beers thrown in.

| The point about Wire and Hull increasing their gates is an interesting one. Both clubs worked hard to increase crowds prior to moving with cut price deals, cheap tickets for kids accompanied by an adult etc and both have reaped the benefit. Salford do not appear to have done anything to boost attendances, instead relying on the possibility that a new stadium will be the catalyst for success. It won't happen.

Salford have had cut-price tickets for certain matches.
Wire's gates have also increased because of the policy of signing big name players which increases expectancy and creates a "buzz" around the club before the season starts. After a few seasons of disappointment,in the last couple of seasons this seems to be paying off.
Hull have also brought in big name players which has kept up the expectancy for the fans.
Salford don't have the money for such signings, therefore expectations are lower and performances suffer. One argument would be for Salford to push the boat out, spend money they don't have, hope performances improve and therefore that gates improve.O.K if it comes off,but if it doesn't?
If Salford's gates increase in the new stadium, then more money will be available for better players which will in turn lead to better results leading to bigger crowds (everone wants to watch a winning team).
Anyway, that's the theory. If we get kicked out of Super League it's another matter.

| for any club to be getting less than 3k in a supposed elite level of prof competition is a joke, especially one that was let in on a franchise that was supposed to be about strengthening the competition.

Harlequins didn't have 3,700 when we played them at their place did they?
