| I am definitely going, it's just a shame that the final is being played in the 4rsehole of the world though.

Is Elland rd that bad??
I've never been but I have heard is pretty bad.
They really should have played the final in London I think.

For what possible reason would you go to the Wallabies v England match?
Other than free tickets...
Watching a handful of prissy Australian ex-private schoolboys with the rugby ability of a gnat and the fortitude of a packet of jelly crystals.

Notice how the trolls never answer posts like that.

Well....the free tickets did go a long way to persuading me
The thing is...a big sporting event in London involving Australia is so much MORE than that....its an opportunity for a get together and a few beers with fellow Aussies...and as you know...london is chockers with us

It's not that bad, bit short on leg room though and facilities vary between stands. East Stand probably best for facilities and view.
Location is good for the motorway but a bit poor if coming from the city centre but I guess First Leeds will be putting on buses
I cope in the North stand every Leeds United match but a bit short on space and I'm only 5'10

One of my mates sorted our tickets out...bought them through the 'Fanatics'
I'm not sure what stand we are in...and I'll be too drunk to care probably

| As a fan from the opposite side of the Pennines, the kick off time of 7.30pm presents me with a problem.
If the game finishes late or goes to extra time then the train I will have to get, could get me back to Manchester too late for the last train home.
I appreciate most people will drive but the likes of me and a few others are lost to this game due to the strangely late Saturday night kick off.
If it had been a 6.30pm kick off, then I suspect the gate would have been higher.

Attitudes seem to have changed over the last couple of years as the kiwis seem to be more competitive. A couple of years back they were seen as no chance

Definately.
It wasn't so long ago even England could beat them in a series....now look at them....the current world champions and up against the best RL side in the world in the final of the 4 nations in a few weeks time.
Great effort.

New Zealand are world champions ad are therefore the best RL side in the world, thats the tag which comes with winning it, so no they are not playing against the best RL side, the aussies are.

*ahem*
Top 30 Rankings as of March 2009
1 -- Australia
2 -- New Zealand
3 -- England
So unless the RLIF site has got it very wrong...it does indeed appear that Australia are indeed the best RL side in the world
