| Personally I'd rather have the Sleeve running the game than Lenagan but others may have their own view. "I have no idea how much a Championship club now takes to survive or at Championship 1. That's not for me to know. I'm more concerned can 12 Super League clubs survive and can the community game survive." You neither know nor care how much it takes to run a club in the other two divisions Ian? You could knock me down with a feather.

Tbf to Lenagan must be hard having two jobs one running a rugby club the other acting in Emmerdale.

As a Hull fan I'm very happy with what Pearson said

| Blind spot a mile wide. One minute he's boasting about how well SL has been governed and marketed over the last couple of years, in the next breath he's glossing over what's likely to be the biggest drop in TV revenue since the comp began

| Lenagan states he doesn't know how much it costs to keep Championship and League 1 clubs going - this after not wanting them to have any central funding.
He also seems ignorant that the RFL have moved from Leeds to Manchester- while having a gratuitous swipe at another club owner.
They bring the sport into disrepute- should anyone out there feel anything but apathy.
As for the bloke who reckoned rugby league could match and master the other code...
Could they both return to soccer asap please?

| so some people whinge and moan and criticise if the club bosses don't communicate and give us their opinions.....
Then when the club bosses do give us their opinions people whinge and moan and criticise from a position of anonymity.
Why don't these people put £Millions in a club and earn a say?

Well the biggest ever deal was won by Blake Solly and Nigel Wood. It was a monster deal..........
So these guys then proceeded to give a massive chunk away to the championships and set up a competition involving the championships that took all the focus off the race for Superleague. They had been warned not to do it as scottish soccer had considered it but rejected it after it came to light Swiss soccer had used the system and it failed miserably. Solly and Wood went ahead anyway....
SKY were not really interested and before the contract ended Lenegan managed to get the SL clubs to force the RFL to scrub the format.
So over the "Last couple of years" Lenegan has indeed improved the governance and got the focus back on Superleague. This is exactly why he says he doesn't think about the championships much. And of course the SKY deal will go down as BT aren't bidding and we have had the pandemic.
Lenegan can't do anything about that, so fair play to him.......

Lenegan was the biggest player behind the Super League breakaway. People with knowledge and experience told him it would be a disaster.
But he tries to walk away without taking any responsibility whilst, no doubt deeply ed that the people who told him it would end in tears were proven right yet again, tales a petty swipe at one of them at what was supposed to be Wigan's season launch.
Is it any wonder the Wigan club performs so badly off the field if this is lie quality of the leadership.

Your selective amnesia kicked in again?
Lenagan stated he wished he hadn't agreed to the last broadcast deal - after Koukash stated other companies should have been asked.
Elstone failed to increase the broadcast deal,or the commercial value involving Super League:the very reasons Lenagan stated he brought in Elstone.
I do hope the Super League clubs pay what they owe to Rothschilds Bank...They're looking more and more like Argyle everyday...
