| Does the shot clock for scrums mean the end of 6 players running in and forming a scrum stopping the clock?

they have not decided yet, they will just play it by ear and see how it pans out when it happens, this is the RFL after all.

Someone at the club told me the offending team gets lines. 50 for the first transgression, then 100, & so on. Hand written. None of this fancy copy & paste malarkey. That'll learn 'em.

I shudder to think how many lines the VR will get, especially the time he takes to arrive at a decision.

| I'd give a few posters on this thread lines, just for the awful grammar used.

| Like reduced interchange. Shot clock (if properly policed with consistency) should improve things.
Hate golden point. One of biggest complaints last year was amount of time it takes for a game of RL to be played. So we extend it by another 10 mins (plus 5 mins of having a pep talk, a drink of water and to toss a coin) 10 mins of really bad DG attempts. Or the team winning the coin toss having a significant advantage if they have a someone like Gareth O'brien on their team. Not for me.

| There needs to be more consistency between TV games and non TV games, ie the length of HT, with TV games having to cater for the the Irish man and his ginger chum to go over what we've just seen, plus 2 sets of adverts. Lets get the game down to as close to 90 mins (with HT) as we can.

Failure to abide by the scrum and drop-out shot-clock rules will result in a penalty, with the conversion related issue leading to an off-field punishment by way of a fine.

| As part of a new three-year partnership, Australian Sports Manufacturer Steeden will become the Official Match Ball supplier to Betfred Super League, Championship and League 1, the Challenge Cup and England Rugby League programmes.
Steeden is currently the official match ball of the NRL, New Zealand Rugby League, Queensland Rugby League and New South Wales Rugby League amongst many others and the Symmetry match ball will be reintroduced at the professional level in the UK this season ensuring continuity and familiarity for players.
Steeden match balls will be in use from early January for all pre-season games and will feature in Round 1 of the Challenge Cup over the weekend of January, 26 and 27.
The three-year agreement sees the Rugby Football League move away from Rhino Rugby League, who have been a partner since 2014, but will continue to provide branded equipment in 2019.

| like to see another ruling fetched in, standing like a crucifix when you know your blocking a path to a player, Percival was within his rights to stay still with a player coming in but held both arms out wide which then blocks his path around him, to me that's just as bad as running into a players path

I'd prefer it if that loophole (because that's what it is) was closed altogether. It's one thing for a stationary player to stay stationary but it's another entirely for him to move into the path of a running player and stop just before contact, thus being stationary and having a "right" to remain so. Such a player is not intending to contest the ball; he is intending, quite clearly, to obstruct his opponent.
