At least we did hang on. Beats blowing a 10-0 lead.

I don't think you can complain about the MOS and Coach awards, with the club award I wish they would leave that until after the Grand Final, it was close running between Hull and Warrington for club team of the year but if Warrington win the Grand Final they would have just edged it.
Also as mentioned in other threads Chris Hill should have been on the short list in place of Ellis perhaps who has only played 21 games against Hill who has played all 30 games.

Looks like the voting was different this year and the players had a completely free choice who to vote for. So the shortlisted three were decided completely on player votes

So Hull improving from last spot in thew super 8's in 2015, to within a whisker of top spot in 2016 means that their coach doesn't deserve the gong ??
The finished with 24 points last season and improved this to 40 this time around !

Their only failing was not quite being able to clear a Challenge Cup hangover and clearly Radford deserves his prize.

Also, if they are going to give out the prizes before the GF, which club would you give them to.

Houghton MOS again fully deserved and you are being insulting to suggest otherwise.

Maybe you should show some class (which Your coach always does) and congratulate those who have won.
Far from rewarding mediocrity, they seem to have got things about right.

Up until Wembley we were the best team in the league. Top of the league after 23 rounds, still top of league 3 games into the 8's, and Cup winners having beaten the 4 best teams it was possible to play to do it. We had played 13 games against the top 5 teams and won 12 of them. The one defeat being a one point loss to Wigan which would have been a draw had Liam Watts' brain not exploded with 30 seconds left. All this after finishing 8th last year. When our fans claimed we would be contenders this time it was met with snorts of derision.

I don't think people outside the club quite realise what that cup final win meant to the club. It was probably the single biggest win in the clubs history, and just couldn't rally from it mentally. We gave it a good go against Wigan, but were pipped by another excellent team. I can see an argument for Warrington, but that's a very bitter OP.

I have no problems with the awards and think for once they are well deserved. Houghton is one of the most underrated players in the league and has been for years. I'd love him in my team.

For months I've said Radford should get coach of the season. Okay they've had the funds but so have Wire but I think their turnaround year on year has been more remarkable.

Obviously very pleased with the young player of the year which I feel is correct, trying to be as unbiased as possible. I know one/two Widnes fans have been vocally supporting Whitley who I also feel is creditable but I think TJ has a more notable impact this year even though he has suffered a bad injury. Both 2 big players for the future.
