Nope. There was an opportunity to get in at the early stages and "buy into it" but DH preferred to his cash away on an untried coach and an incompetent administration.

| Brentford would probably still be interested in having a 'rugby' club partner them because there is a significant shortfall in the finances that is being underwritten by their owner. If someone was to put up some cash they'd go for it.
The problem would be that the planning permission is currently only for a football team so would need to be changed but it's not insurmountable.

| Think the may have missed the boat with this one. I agree that BRFC will want someone to join in the cost of the stadium but would DH/RFL work with that?

The developer's web site still says "The Brentford Community Stadium will be much more than just a 20,000 seat venue for professional football and rugby." Rugby was also mentioned on their flyer to residents in March 2013. www.brentfordcommunitystadium.com/?page_id=2

| Far more likely to be London Irish or Wasps. You know, an entity that might be able to actually bring some cash to the table.

| Should be the home of London Rugby League, a hub for amateur, rep and pro RL for London. If the RFL needed to contribute to that. Fine

| The only way for a professional RL club in London to prosper is to ally with a soccer club. Whether its Brentford Broncos, Fulham Rugby League, MK rugby, Tottenham Titans, Chelsea Kangaroos, Millwall Maurauders, Leyton Leaguers etc doesn't matter. Take the soccer club's name, play at their ground, play in the soccer club's colours and offer cheaper season tickets to the soccer club's season ticket holders.

Based on what's on their badges, it should be the Chelsea Pole-dancing Lions, Tottenham Rugby Chickens, Milwall Kittens, Leyton Dragons or the Fulham Fridge Magnets.

| Being in hock to a soccer club is not in our game's interest. Fulham lasted 4 years and Northampton Town pulled out a year before they started!

Only period we grew fan numbers was 2002-2005.....but even with 15000 free tickets we still wouldn't fill Lionel road......the hive is perfect for now or orient in needs must, but no way do we want a 20k seat stadium 85% empty.
