| Nope. Not unless he learns the finer skills needed to be a decent winger in SL.

| Alex Brown is a Huddersfield product. Two words: high ball. If he's sorted that he will have rectified his biggest weakness.

| We've gone full circle for wingers in this country from a few short years ago when Calderwood and Gardner were on the wing. Hall, Charnley, Briscoe, McGillveray, Riley. Then theres Brown who looks useful, Lineham tearing up trees at Hull. I'm sure theres plenty of others that I cant think of right now.

| The young lad percival at saints looks a cracker.
Might be a 3/4 though?
Still
He looks like he has real potential.

Went to Saints-Leeds the other week and Saints attacked down their more experienced right side, it was only in the last quarter Percival got the ball thrown to him and they made 2 breaks from distance and scored two tries too.
Looks a belting player.

| Granted he looked good going forward with ball in hand - but with what passes for defence on our left wing would make anyone look good!

| in pre season Brown looked like he was 4th choice on the wing but even if hall is fit I can't see how you could drop him at the momemt

| Admittedly I've only seen him in the one game, but he looks a good prospect. I think it was his first try, the hand-off, the strength and then pinning his ears back, that took some scoring. I was impressed with him.

| Thought he always looked ok for us in our academy sides, only played once for the 1st team then got moved out to Batley as McGillvary had overtook him and broke into our squad. always impressed me for Batley too so glad he's got another chance in SL.

| Dixon's defence is weak though. When London were at Wigan two weeks ago Charnley brushed him aside with ease on quite a few occasions.
Brown looked good but as its his second time around then lets see him in a few more games before coming to any particular view on his long term as a SL winger.

| A good test will be if he gets selected against Ryan Hall. He impressed me at the weekend but showed some weaknesses. Still, you cant ask too much from a guy who hasnt really played first grade before. He will get better.

| Having watched him play a few times during his Batley days, I always thought he'd get a shot at another SL club. I think he will make a decent SL winger.

| I think that hits the nail on the head "a decent SL winger". He has strength, he has speed, he has confidence. BUT he is also prone to weak defence and has a couple of errors he needs to get out of his game.
Once put up against a sizable winger in Colbon his attack seemed much less dangerous. I await the games against wingers like Richards, Briscoe and as previously mentioned Ryan Hall.
IMO he's far from an England winger and needs to concentrate on just performing for HKR. If the call comes then start to build him up but there are players in SL with more experience and more to offer than Alex who are over looked year on year.
Can't fault his first try against London though, regardless who he fended off, I don't think too many wingers in the league would have even attempted to go on the outside.

| Even though Dixon was never going to stop him it was still a good try. He has the tools to make it as a SL winger and if he keeps scoring tries like that one he will keep his place in the team and become a better player for it.
