Best team of the SL era IMO, and that includes Saints '06.

19 . . . Oh what the hell, let's round it off to a decade. The 90's. Wigan. Outstanding.

| Based on being old enough to form an opinion I would say Leeds in 2004. No team got close to us that year. Won the league by a record margin and played amazing stuff with a team full of academy players when it was far from the norm.

| wigan 1990 - 1992 era would take some beating for the players they had plus the style they played in, but i'll go for wigan 1987 - won 29 games in a row and an all english team won the world club challenge

| As this is an "All Time" not "Team I've seen" question there is only one answer - the Huddersfield "Team of All Talents" that dominated the game before the Great War, culminating in winning "All Four Cups" in 1915.

| For me would definately be Saints team of 06...
Lost 4 games in all competitions (by 1,2,3 & 4 points), won Challenge Cup, League Leader's shield, Grand Final, went on to win WCC after that and also cleaned up in individual awards for Man of Steel, Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Team of the Year and also went on to win BBC Team of the Year and BBC Coach of the Year at Sport's Personality awards...
Only time all have been won and the brand of RL we played that year was by far the best I have ever seen, therefore would be 2006 Saints by a mile for me

Winning all four cups in a year when most teams had been decimated due to the fact that the majority of their players were fighting for their lives in a field in France is not really a great boast. Why not try a year during peacetime when everyone has a fair amount of players to pick from?

| If that were true it would be a good point. Unlike the Second World War there was not a wartime League programme with guest players etc. After the 1914-15 season the sport was suspended for the duration. However the 1914-15 was a full legitimate League season (as was the 1914-15 soccer season).

| The Leeds team of 2004 doesn't get the credit it deserves. Pre SL there's loads to choose from, the Wigan side of the late 80s-mid 90s. The Wakey and Leeds teams of the 60s, Huddersfield's team in the early 20th century

So you dont think that team were affected at all by the First World War, how strange.

| The Leigh team that pipped Hull to the Championship in 1982 (containing the likes of John Woods and Des Drummond) was a fine team.
The last team to be crowned English RL champions with an all English squad.
