| Try 'Staymanchester.com' serviced apartments. They have 1 2 and 3 bed apartments and works out a good deal if there's a few of you

| There's an ETAP by Salford Quays that is a tram ride out of the city. Have you tried the Travelodge on Great Ancoats Street - that's on the edge of the centre closest to the stadium.
The Laystall St apartments on the site mentioned by Big Ask is en route to the stadium too.
If cost is a main driver how about the Hatters Hostels? There are a couple in the Northern Quarter.

| Hotels ramping up prices for a major event? Didn't Cardiff hoteliers get vilified for this sort of thing around these parts?

Ancoats or town centre best bet, try www.theplacehotel.com do apartments for the weekend, round corner from piccadilly station, reasonable prices if one or two of you. Bus or taxi though mate no trams up that way yet.

| Quote: Towns88 "Where is there to stay at a reasonable price for the magic weekend? Initially tried ETAP but sold out for the weekend by the looks of it. Wanting somewhere as cheap as possible, don't mind being a tram ride away. All help appreciated. Stayed in a decent B&B in Cardiff last time around close to the ground which was convenient.'"
I'd have suggested the world infamous rl'Sachas'rl - a wretched hive of scum and villainy (more accurately, stag/hen nights, airline cabin crew and 'escorts'), but having checked, even they're asking £145 for that Saturday night.
How many are staying over? Your best bet is probably a serviced apartment - Atrium, Northern Quarter Apts, etc. Even if it's £150, you can fit several people in to keep costs down.

I stayed there when we played Widnes. Interesting. Bet at one point it was amazing. We were in one of the windowless rooms. We only paid 25 quid for a twin room, it did the job. I've stayed in nicer hostels however.

| Anticipating a shortage of reasonably priced accommodation in the Manchester area for the magic weekend I decided to join a free dating site and said I wanted to meet a woman who must be a RL fan and live within 20 miles of the city.
As a result of this I'm now meeting a 34 year old divorced mother of 2 from haydock (a Saints fan) on the saturday and 27 year old single mother of one from Bolton (a Wigan fan) on sunday. I failed to mention I'm a married father of 2 from Coventry but hey...thats life.
Following an exchange of photos and a few late night phone calls both have said I can stay at their houses on their respective nights and they both seem pretty friendly girls so not only will I get a free bed for the night I'll also get a leg over and maybe a bacon roll the following morning.
