What if Ganson makes another decision like Tansey in Cardiff or Liam Watts at the Jungle?

I've seen a lot more but that is the prime example of the officials deciding which team wins the game.
Ashley Klein and Steve Ganson changed the result from a Bradford 38-36 victory to a 38-42 loss in 60 seconds of madness.
Anyhow that happend 3 years ago, so lets all move on and forget about it.

| Unfortunately our officials (particularly Video Referees) continue to make absolutely bizzare and incomprehensible desicions on a far-to-frequent basis. And I'm not talking grey areas that could be argued either way, this year we have seen some ridiculous decisions made that even the scoring player has found unbelievable.
However, I think I have only actually blamed the referee once for costing my team a game (I can only presume Ganson pressed the wrong button when awarding the Liam Watts 'try'). As a general rule, I'm quite happy to blame the players and/or coach and/or board for our failings.

| Does the money from my ticket go towards the officials wages? If so I can and will say what I want about there poor decisions. When they show respect to the paying fans and don't mug them off by changing games as in the situation mentioned above then I'll stop moaning about them.

| No the money from your ticket does NOT go on the referees wages, it goes on the players wages. The RFL get from TV rights / sponsorship etc goes on the officals wages

| However, without the ticket money to pay the players, maintain the grounds, etc there would be nothing for the officials to do if the teams didn't exist- and therefore no job for them.

| Respect needs to be earned and after watching our match tonight they would have little chance of that happening.

| The officials continue to ruin the game so I see no reason why they should get any respect from fans at the moment. It would give the wrong impression anyway - that they are doing a decent job. In fact they are getting wrong an increasing number of straightforward decisions. It is not easy to be a referee, it really is a tough job, probably too tough for one person, but it can be done a great deal better than this lot are doing it. Players and coaches do tend to come out and hold their hands up when they've had a bad game - referees do not. Any also, why do FANS have to respect the officials? Players do, sure. It's part of their job but fans are not bound by such restrictions.
Keep it clean and remember it's a family game, but no need to go overboard on fans respecting officials. It's part of the theatre that they do not!
