| Which way?
1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Israel Folau
3. Kurt Gidley
4. Josh Morris
5. Manu Vatuvei
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Benji Marshall
8. Adam Blair
9. Cameron Smith
10. Petero Civoniceva
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Dave Taylor
13. Alan Tongue
14. Luke O'Donnell
15. Ben Creagh
16. Gareth Ellis
17. Luke Bailey
18. Anthony Minichiello
19. Trent Barrett
20. Billy Slater
Don't ask me to explain. It's an All Star side, so I picked my favourite players out of the options given, where possible, thus the 3 fullbacks in the side. They can all play a quarter each, then the one who played best can have the last quarter. And I got weird centres cus I just had to have Izzy and The Beast on each wing, though now that I think of it, I could very much deal with them as a centre/winger pairing.
See how fun it would be to add Burgess to this side?

| Went for:
1) Slater
2) B Morris
2) Folau
3) Jennings
5) Vatuvei
6) Lockyer
7) Marshall
Blair
9) Smith
10) Moi Moi
11) Taylor
12) Ellis
13) Watmough
Subs: Bailey, O'Donnell, Tupou, Gidley, J Morris, Minichello, Monaghan
Didn't go for Hayne as I think Slater is at least as good and was keen to see Moi Moi play. Watmough at 13 like SOO would be good. Plenty of pace and power in the three quaters, should be a real game.

www.nrl.com/newsviews/latestnews ... fault.aspx
I've just noticed this on the NRL site from Bennett.
Each player has been given a position by Bennett and in the forwards he wants 3 tight forwards(props) in the starting line and 2 on the bench. Blair is in there anyway at prop so that means the 2 back rowers have to be props, only the lock can be an edge forward and only 1 edge forward on the bench. That's a complete joke. I put Dave Taylor at prop but he's considered an edge forward, i had O'Donnell, Watmough, Ellis, Laffranchi and Tupou but you can only have 2 edge forwards. He wants 5 props and 4 teams haven't got a prop in there to choose from so it limits your voting straight away. Cameron Smith is at hooker and Bennett doesn't want another on the bench, he wants 2 utilities so why have they put Ennis, Farrah and Isaac Luke on there if there not going to get picked. Also Hayne is down for FB and winger and Slater is just FB so if Hayne gets more votes than Slater over both positions it wont matter, he's got to get more votes than Slater at FB which he wont because alot of people will put him on the wing just to get them both in. RANT OVER.
Brett Morris is also out and been replace by Boyd but they haven't added him yet.

| I don't know, i'm a bit confused by that article.
Quote: "The coach has divided the backs into three groups
Does that contradict this at all?
Quote: "The first player selected in the NRL All Stars team public vote will be the representative who receives the highest overall number votes for a single position. His selection will mean that no other player from that representative’s club will be eligible to make the side. The next player selected will have recorded the second highest number of overall votes for a single position ….and so on.'"
The above seems to imply it's now out of Bennett's hands.
EDIT: Ah, i've just sat down with lunch and looked over it again. It's come clear now. That sucks a bit.
I will be voting for Hayne at fullback and hope most do the same. Before the Four-Nations, he would've been a certainty I reckon. Now, you'll probably be right, LS14 Rhino.

| I've gone with Hayne at FB and left Slater out altogether because Bennett doesn't want a FB on the bench. He also doesn't want a hooker on the bench, Farrah and Ennis wouldn't fit in the team he says and wants Gidley and Tongue as utilities on the bench. He also wants Cooper in the centres as he's 'the best defensive centre in the NRL'. and out of the Tigers players he wants Ellis.
Thing i dont understand is, if say, Ennis gets the most votes from the Bulldogs by the voters and Bennett doesn't want a hooker in the team what do they do? Do they stick with Ennis because the fans have voted for him or do they go with Bennett and pick the Dogs player that has the highest amount of votes after Ennis?

| In such a situation, I read it as Ennis will come onto the bench to fill a utility spot.

| Voting has finished and the team is,
Slater, Hayne, Folau, Watmough, Taylor, Vatuvei, Tupou, O'Donnell, Josh Morris, Gidley, Tongue, Bailey, the players from the Tigers, Dragons, Panthers and Roosters haven't been finalised yet.
I hope it's Jennings, Ellis, Creagh and Ryles from those four teams although Mitchell Pearce might get in as Bennett wanted a half back in there.

| That is an awesome team.
Even with the obvious Indigenous passion, the NRL team will be very hard to beat. Absolutely spewing i'm gonna miss it. Even the hype around it, leading up to the game is something I want to be here for. Oh well, next year i'll watch Burgess join Ellis. It'll be like Indingenous Australia vs Tri-Nations All Stars.
Oh and COME ON THE TONGUE!!!!!!
