Anyone know what happened to them? Anyone remember seeing them play or have any interesting stories?
The clubs in question
Also switched to assosiation football in 1910, now play in the Northern Counties East Football League.

| All the history of Rugby League is in the museum which is in the George Hotel Huddersfield, inluded in the hotel is the room where the break came, it is now called the Founders Bar, I visited the George Hotel last Sunday to see an old school classmate made a Heritage Rugby League Legend, I was among 200 visitors that came to see Michael Sullivan given this honour at a very moving ceremony, with excellent tributes from his Australian opponents, and from another legend Mr Colin Hutton. To those who have not visited this museum, Please take a trip over to Huddersfield to see the Greatest Games history. You will be pleasantly surprised!.

They were in the conference until they got punted out a couple of years ago for playing an unregistered player who got sent off.
Think they are back in the Pennine League now

| Runcorn closed down during the Great War (having been in dire financial straits for the few preceding years) and didn't resume in 1918.
A soccer club replaced them at the Canal Street ground, the same venue that Runcorn Highfield used in the 1980s. The soccer club went bust a few years ago and the site is now a housing estate.

They did, but they'd moved to Belle Vue and changed name to Belle Vue Rangers in 1945/46.
See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broughton_Rangers
So, in answer to the OP, I can say that I did see Belle Vue Rangers play. That would have been in their last few years of existence when they were one of the few teams that Liverpool City could beat occasionally.

Different club, the pro one was Brighouse Rovers and the current club is Brighouse Rangers. The original club couldn't pay their rent and folded
