| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "Red hot? You do know your 6th in the league.
Personally I think if Leigh don’t win at least 2 of the games you’ve mentioned, they won’t make 4th place.'"
Yes, we are 6th. Of course, the current system is not about being 1st-4th, at this stage of the season. Our last seven games have all been won, having scored 295 points and conceded 62. So, definitely red hot - currently. And yes, we need to win at least two of those games, but what if we win all three of them, what then?
Having seen London thrashed twice at Leigh in recent weeks, I no longer fancy their chances of finishing in the top four. They started the season so well, but I fear injuries and a deterioration in confidence, are beginning to take their toll. Their 'body language' wasn't good last Sunday, when they were totally dominated. Let's see if they can recover in time to receive Leigh the weekend after next.

Of course Leigh have a chance to make the top 4 but, you (Leigh) are relying on those clubs currently above you in the table, to slip up. This could happen and you can then point the finger at my error and if you beat all the sides that are currently above you, you will be sitting pretty at the top of the pile.
As you say, it will all start to get interesting over the next 3 or 4 weeks.
Btw, it wasn't an "anti Leigh" post, merely an observation

You fail to mention the fact that those teams above Leigh also have to play each other, which in turn will see them lose points. This w/end it's TW v Fax,and next w/end it's TO v Fev, then we have TW v TO @ magic w/end and so on. Leigh just need to keep winning, and playing the way they are,and they stand a good chance of being in the mix at the end of the season, but owt can happen. I said weeks ago that there are more twist and turns to come yet, and that was when London were flying high.

It's good to see.
Much as the Leigh fans enjoyed to procession in your promotion season, for the rest of us (and the Championship contenders), it's far better to have 5/6/7 clubs fighting for the top 4 and it should actually help "harden up" the sides ready for the middle 8's.
Apart from Toronto, who do the Leigh fans see as their sternest competition for promotion ?

I would agree with that and having seen London’s performance on Sunday, I think they will soon be out of the running.

Wasn't taken as anti-Leigh, my friend. Everyone has an opinion, and who is to say which one is right? I too think it is good for the Championship, and then the 8's to have 6/7 teams in the mix!

I like Fev but, I really dont see that they could ever maintain top flight status and their catchment area for support is just so heavily restricted by Trinity and Castleford.
However, they have some great amateur sides in the area and they are without doubt, a proper rugby league club, doing a great job competing at the top of Rugby Leagues second tier.

We are keeping an eye on frantic Featherstone Rovers.
However their hypothetical promotion --- which is not going to happen -- would have done no good for the fan base, international profile and commercial appeal of Super League. That is why we should all be praying for the promotion of tremendous Toronto and terrific Toulouse at a minimum.

Do Toulouse have the money to strengthen?? - genuine question
Their current team has no chance of getting to the mpg in the middle 8s, should they qualify in the first place that is

How do you know its not going to happen, Featherstone are quietly going about their business and not getting ahead of themselves.
Why the obsession of Toronto and Toulouse in SL?
And you realise it will be at the expense of Catalan, who will be in the Championship next season based on their performance.

He's no longer got a hardon for Lousy London either.......
Fev, Toronto, Toulouse and Leig in any order are looking lie the form sides, followed by Halifax.....unless London win and win comfortably this weekend I can't see them getting close....their fall from grace has been dramatic.

Not a chance, they have the advantage of preparing for the middle 8's now. Everybody else is chasing something.
They don't need to.

| Toulouse and London returned to Championship action this afternoon, with both clubs annihilating their opposition. Coincidently the two expansion clubs both scored 11 try’s to their heartland opposition’s 1 try.
