Its not like the RFL are going to decide this off-season to kick Wigan and Leeds out just for the hell of it. Im pretty sure the Bulls would accept that there are proviso's for keeping thier licence and that keeping them in SL doesnt give them carte blanche for two years to do whatever they want.
You also have to remember that Bradford are asking for two years to prove they are capable of another 3 years after that, thats a pretty big stick to start with and Bradford are behind the 8 ball for the next set of licences regardless.'"
I can see your point but that only arises once the RFL and SL member clubs decide whether or not that the NewCo can have a license. At the moment that hasn't been decided and until then the RFL can't say that the NewCo can have a license for the next 2 years. A bid has to be placed first before a decision can be made.

[iif a misconduct occurs[/i ie administration.
I can't see a timeframe though in the rules.
Is it your impression that annual reviews can only take place in the off-season?
Bradford's administration took place 5weeks ago. This should immediately trigger a licence review by their own operational rules.
The RFL has found the time to trigger a 6pt penalty without knowing how much a consortium would pay back creditors.
Why not fulfil their operational obligation to conclude a licence review and announce the result?

If that’s what the problem has been then they are all fsking morons.
There is no problem with the RFL accepting a deal in principle which keeps Bradford in SL (if they were so minded) with Bradford accepting that this would only be done with the acceptance of other clubs. The RFL then go and get confirmation from the clubs, when it is forthcoming the new owners confirm their bid and we move forward. It is an unbelievably small obstacle

| Its like chicken and egg though in the fact that the current company have a license but it will be a new company wanting a license. It is annoying and the RFL need to make their rules and procedures clear for any future events such as this.

Its certainly a firm and clear message from the RFL.

It states that the RFL are still talking to administrators about advancing more money. If I was the RFL I wouldn't advance any money unless they receive the offer which is satisfactory or at least receive an intention to submit such offer. It seems like the RFL are trying to grow a backbone.

Which seems a perfectly reasonable reason for rejecting a bid. Certainly a better reason that wanting to know pretty pertinent information before submitting a bid

Don't advance money, players don't get paid, last 5 fixtures not completed. RFL nightmare.
Blake Solly already said 2 weeks ago that players would be paid to allow the fixtures to be completed so the mixed messages we've had this week have been a little odd.

It won't be a new company, unless the current Bradford Bulls Limited company liquidates.

| Enjoy this bit of contradictory nonsense
[iAll enquirers have been informed that the RFL is only interested in receiving offers for Bradford Bulls which are free from any condition pertaining to competition membership or the re-acquisition of Odsal Stadium.[/i
The ABC consortium have also been informed that any unconditional offer would also have to be accompanied by a detailed business plan, the identity of all material shareholders and proposed directors and the appropriate proof that the required levels of funding are in place
So you want them to submit a detailled business plan and proof of required funding, without them being able to know where they will play, how much this will cost or what division they will be in.
Good luck with finding that mystic meg backed consortium.

You would have to come up with 2 business plans. Plan A and Plan B.

My comment regarding the RFL’s threat that they could kick a team out of S.L (Sorry – revoke their licence) on an annual basis, is purely based on previous threads & links, maybe my mind is wandering in my Autumn years, or maybe the threat was aimed at the ‘C’ Grade clubs only.
Maybe the ‘big’ clubs, as a certain poster has alluded to, are exempt from this threat & Bradford with their Grade B were part of this clique .

| IIRC The RFL stated that any license could be revoked throughout the 3 year franchise period.
