Your reply made no sense. Who is saying it that the PI is going to be plain sailing? It certainly isn't. What doesn't make it any easier is the CEO of another club making it more difficult by reportedly making claims of being able to share at a stadium that doesn't exist and going by his own clubs press release isn't going to in the neat future either. Richard Wright should have politely declined to comment on the situation, end of.
If Newmarket gets passed and at some point in future there is a planning application go in for Wheldon Road, would RW apprieciate a letter from Wakefields CEO saying that the petition they have saying a supermarket should be built there so Glasshoughton can be built, it isn't needed as they can share Newmarket with Wakefield? No? Thought not.

Once again, you're posting falsities to suit your own agenda, here is what RW wrote"I have been asked to comment on the position of Castleford tigers with regard to the possibility of another club playing at our new stadium at Glasshoughton.
In the first instance I can confirm that we are looking for new organisations to use our new facilities in a number of ways and we would be happy for this to be in the form of another sports club using the stadium subject to a suitable agreement being put in place. It is a community stadium and it is our objective that it is used regularly by the community.
More specifically we did agree to participate in a Wakefield Council funded feasibility study in July 2010 to determine the best location for a new community stadium in the Wakefield district; this would accommodate a ground share between ourselves and Wakefield wildcats. The Council, to our disappointment, were forced to abandon this study when Wakefield wildcats refused to participate.
However, whist we have made significant progress with our site at junction32, including a detailed planning consent in April 2011, our position with regard to sharing our new facility at Junction 32 with another club has not changed. We plan to increase revenues into the stadium from a number of sources and provide significant benefits to the community.
If you need any further information do not hesitate to contact me"'"
As you can see, all he is doing is confirming what has been said in the past - he isn't going out of his way to say no there should not be a stadium at Newmarket.

| And remember that RW has actually being ASKED for his comments, not simply offered them.
And I have to say, I'm not sure what it is that isn't true?

Whats the 'falsities' there?
In effect he is saying theres no need to build a stadium there, they can play at ours. Not helpful, not necessary and not likely to be happening anytime soon. I'll say it again, he wasn't obliged to say anything but he couldn't help himself. He should have declined to comment.

Why should he decline to comment? Truth too damaging?

Probably not, as I believe we can counter it by proving playing at GH isn't vialble for WT. But if he gets off on trying to damage other clubs progress rather concentrating on his own club then he's a sad individual.

Look, it's a business.
We've seen it recently with regard to the supermarket application on WR. One company will object to another doing something if this threatens their long term future.
And the if I were you I wouldn't worry about RW's letter - there are MUCH bigger obstacles to NM than this.

So you agree then RW and Cas are trying to assist the objectors and de-rail NM.
Nice one.

Yes, I agree that this is the intention.
At first I thought RW was responding to a request from the decision-making body, but it seems he (and by default Cas) are actually providing information to support those objecting to Newmarket.

Not that I'm adding my opinion to the "is he/isn't he trying to derail Newmarket" b*tchfest, but this isn't just "business" if he is. The idea that he can derail another club in an attempt to benefit his license bid is daft. The RFL pick who goes in the league remember. I'm pretty sure they won't be too keen to pick clubs that sabotage others.

And nobody is doing that, Wright was asked if Wakefield refused to take part in a feasibility study, which they did and was also asked if they would be able to play at Glasshoughton, which he also confirmed.
He did nothing wrong, and it will in no way have any effect on the outcome, there are much bigger issues with the whole development than the fact Glasshoughton is an option for Wakefield.

But if RW is so confident about GH why the need to interfere, it wouldn't have any effect on Cas?
