| I hate to say it but..
Just let it slide. This is RL in Wales' chance, stronger position than we could have hoped for 5 years ago. Are we going to let all that go to waste because of this?
Come out and tell it as it is, theyre staying and thats that, if people dont like it; lump it

Out of interest, what are they exactly?

You’re probably correct, they may avoid the bullet, however, unlike the London project, with their philanthropist, who is going to keep bankrolling the club?

Nigel Wood. He's going to put it on expenses.

The problem is you can't issue Wakey, Cas, Salford etc with warning letters of franchise promises and yet on the other hand completely ignore other clubs faults. You can't reject Widnes SL bid due to previous owner debts (that had been paid in the take over) yet allow another club simply to wipe them away fully blaming the previous owner.
Though I do admit i'd ten times rather they came out and said look we are bankrolling Crusaders until they hit say 5k crowds weekly with a proper backer in place. Rather than all these under hand deals and 'task forces' helping out. Just be honest and yes we'll hate it but at least we'll know what sort of state or game is rather than waiting for the day they say oh sorry pots empty!

| ATEOTD The Crusaders are a business, an unsustainable one at that, so with all of this 'just let it slide' business and 'well it's a shame because they've done quite well this year', doesn't really matter as their business is shafted. I think it would be highly unfair if they were to go into administration and a new company formed and simply gifted a spot in Super League, when there is no promise that this won't happen at the end of next season, when there are other clubs that could be given a chance to prove themselves.
There were massive doubts before they were admitted to Super League, and unfortunately the doubters have been proven right. A new company should either be formed or this should just cease to exist and the RFL should concentrate on South Wales. It's sad for the fans who obviously are dedicated and passionate. Unfortunately business does not take any of these factors into consideration. It will be interesting to see what the Crusaders / RFL do about this complete mess.

But they've been happy to bring in the likes of Sammut & Schicovske during the season (pushing White & Kear out) on what will be good money rather than serviving the debt left by Samuel... surely that is a rather big issue?

Your naivety is admirable, however the RFL can do what they like!
There have been so many blunders over recent years, too many to catalogue.
As for the 5K crowds, I’d say they’d need about 8K to break even, and that’s paying fans, not freebies.

There is the argument though that if the club had been able to operate on a clean slate as they believed then they wouldn't be in this mess at the moment.
This seems to be a problem related to the old regime haunting the new one.

I'd agree I meant more if they can at least show signs of brining some money in and have a wealthy backer (Quins atm maybe?) it would be a start. Problem with Samuel is crowds were low and he wasn't very commited (obvious to the outside) so it was doomed to fail as had little to fall back on.

I'm glad somebody has notice Dico.
Since the move the club has got it's house in order. I managed to get all the merchandise I wanted or needed, the tickets were sent promptly and efficiently using an online ticket system where you could pick your actual seat and the rest of it was a marked improvement on the put 50p in the meter Bridgend attempt at Super League.
If we come out of this the other side, as I have stated previously I think we will go on to bigger and better things.

It's probably a good job that that's not what happened then.

I don't think their i smuch doubt that you will. Look at the wonders admin did for Widnes as a club. However maybe the extra cost of SL could be considered too much currently to set up with as well as get a decent side on the pitch?
Clearly the Crusaders did well off the pitch (& on) this season, however you they are also highly to blame for letting the debt fester i'm sure you'll agree? That needs to be cleared up before anything else can start otherwise all of expendeture the club made was just adding digits to the big -?
