Union troll slating RL. What a shock. Oh and claiming he is not a union troll, only to slate RL some more. I've seen it all before. A million times. It could be Tommy Two Codes or just about any other union troll on the web. "I'm not a union troll.... but here's everything that's wrong with RL". It's pathetic and obvious. This issue is on multiple forums and is just as relevant here. Just because you spend so much time looking for news articles from PNG so you can slander those people and you don't realise this doesn't mean it's not true. You're a pathetic union apologist who doesn't want to see RL succeed anywhere and your ridiculous lies about TV ratings, club losses etc just proves it beyond doubt. You have no RL credibility whatsoever. I doubt you have ever played or been involved in the game in any way at all and yet you admit you're an old union boy. Enough said. The proof is glaring. No RL person would play union, make up lies to ridicule RL in Australia, bring up off-field incidents but fail to mention that they occur in every code and go out of their way to portray the people of PNG in such a derogatory way.

I am a Union Troll: I freely admit to having played the game and still watching Ireland in internationals. I will also watch the S15 final this weekend, but I am not a troll.
Yes, I point out the failings of RL as I see them......I am a realist. If I were to join a Union forum, I would point out their many failings.....but I am not, I am on a RL Board. You Aussies have a real issue with being told the truth.........you don't like it when your warts'n'all are shown up.

As I have said, people on these boards who have met me and know me are aware of the work that I have done for London RL over the years.....I even cycled from London to Leeds for XIII Heroes in 2004 for an injured London RL player, I have leafleted for both my home club and other events and have met with the RFL to discuss the problesm in London........but hey...keep the name calling going. It makes you look even more stupid.

The only other "denying" that could be done is the reports from the international press regarding the crimes being committed in PNG. Are you saying you would deny these? The Nazis used to do that sort of thing.......

the appetite for expansion will only increase in the nrl as more money comes into the game

right now we need money for our existing clubs and we will expanded to the "easier" places like perth, central coast and more queensland teams

but eventually a team in PNG and a 2nd NZ side will happen when the games finances are overflowing and the bidders satisfy the NRL of their vaibility

wouldnt surprise me to see us add 4 new teams in 2020 the way we are growing

indeed i can see a 22 team competition and a salary cap of around $10 million or so

with the top players on $3 million pa

TV ratings just destroy every other sport

we have no competetion now

I do not pretend to know everything, but I do know enough to offer a reasoned debate.

In this instance, it is that I believe for a number of reasons, PNG should not be considered for an NRL team at any stage in the next 20 years.... minimum. These reasons include infastructure, crime and general lawlessness, poverty, illiteracy, lack of access to proper medical facilities and corruption in the Government to name but a few. I have no dobt that if these issues were addressed first, then PNG would provide a logical expansion area for the NRL and the game in General, but I do not accept the argument that putting an NRL team in PNG now would solve the issues with infastructure, crime and general lawlessness, poverty, illiteracy, lack of access to proper medical facilities and corruption in the Government to name but a few.
