There are a lot of bitter views on this thread, mostly originating from NL fans.
Fact is RL needs a strong welsh national side to grow the international game and improve the money coming into the game, profile, demographics etc, to do that we have to build the celtic crusaders over time. It was inevitable they would struggle initially, let's judge them on their progress over 3 years.
Yes they've been caught out, they took a risk as they had a thread bare squad.
Teams with poor demographics and poor location will not move RL to the next level. SO, Let's get behind Celtic Crusaders for the benefit of RL,

That's exactly Right. Celtic have known for months these players were going, they also knew they were not upto SL standard so it can be seen as a blessing in disguise, providing they can bring in new better quality players. |

Yes your're right, but those clubs are the core of RL and we don't need any more on a smaller scale. We need more geographical spread etc etc. RU clubs get more money becuase of their demographic profile and internationals, their fans are the difficult to target higher management group.
ALthough if you read the WIgan website it'd have you believe WIgan was an affluent area. The words of Comical Ali was more reliable. |
