Giants defence caused a lot of problems for cas and I think that defence would have seen us win any of the three games we lost

Wasn't the prettiest game but I don't care I am happy with the win, happy with the giants defensive efforts and to nil a team who have just put the cleaners through Wigan is a massive positive

Of course..but 5257 on a Thursday night is hardly pathetic really? we have a hardcore of around 5000 and a decent turnout from Castleford it was a better crowd than I expected. Had it been a Sunday then it would have prob been nearer 7500

Giants were solid. Easily our worst display with a team of Powell's choosing. Toothless is fair game. Pathetic. He will continue to pick a championship half back though so you reap what you sow.

Worst game I have seen all year. Castleford were pathetic. The Huddersfield crowd was pathetic. I am sick and tired of watching games where there is no imagination in a team's attack. How Cas beat Wigan is a mystery. All I can say is at least the good folk of east Hull are in for a bit of entertainment on Sunday.

To have the amount of ball and field position Cas had, especially in that first half, and do so little with it, was criminal. The sharpness in attack they showed against Wigan was sadly lacking. The Giants didn't need to play well to win, and they didn't surpass expectations.
I felt like saying before the match that I'm not so convinced as everyone seems to be that the Catalans will be mixing it with the big four at the end of the season, and why shouldn't it be one of these two? But I have to admit that on this form neither did much to press their case.

Maybe when Benjamin Roberts gets a gig at stand off, we might show more consistency? Deepest sympathies though it was a dreary game, I can well imagine you are used to 40 all draws. |

The issue was Cas didn't really pose any problems to the Giants defence-they barely completed a set. The other teams did which is why you lost. |
