| I’m just pleased that Giants have a competitive team at long last. How many years of mediocre performances was it before 2006?
The bonus of all this has been the emergence of good prospects for the England international squad.

| Looking forward to seeing Grix getting a run of SL games at full back. He was very good for us there.

Shame it wont last

Not a single one from Hudds! Or is that part of the plan? Let other clubs develop them and then flash the cheque book again?

I don't think that's necessary - we have a England Centre who's gone through the academy, we have Elliot Hodgson, Micheal Lawrence and many more young players that have come through OUR academy.

I see the cheque book is out and the season hasn't even started yet

Cheque book?! - how very 70's.
Which SL clubs have signed full time players that play without payment?

| I quite like how jealous supporters are desperately looking at ways to have a pop or a dig at the Giants.
Top effort I say. During the course of the season these lads will get the opportunities and those that don't will at least benefit from training in a full-time professional environment.

Not everyone can be as diplomatic and righteous as you are cadoo.
Are Hudds the club you are supporting this month?

I don't think that's very fair.

No it's fair and he's right too.
Not everyone can be as righteous and diplomatic as me, but that would be going off topic and derailing the thread unnecessarily.
Back on topic, I hope that Luke Robinson can kick on at hooker after his impressive displays in an England shirt. A very talented player and one I would have love to have seen come through at Wigan during this period under Mike maguire and Shaun Wane. Interesting to note that Leroy Cudjoe has been given the number three shirt. Here's hoping we'll finally get a decent British centre.

It's all irrelevant TBF.
They are only alotted numbers. It doesnt mean the players, say numbers 25 and over, earn more. And there's a good likelyhood that if you have a 31 man named squad that 5 or 6 of the players will never see the 1st grade.
Saying that at Leeds this year we have a 31 man squad and I wouldnt mind seeing the majority get game time at some point because of the quality down there.

| Quick question to Giants fans.
What do you think to Cudjoe playing Wing/centre? When I first saw him a few years ago I thought he would go on to become the England Full backin 3 or 4 years but his path seems to have been changed now. Obviously I only see him when you play Leeds and when you are on sky but is the 3/4 line his best position?

I like him at FB to be honest but last 2 years hes more or less made the centre/wing positions his own due to Brett being here
Think we still have 2 spots left to fill if we do get round to it so if we are after the Souths centre then we could see Leroy back at FB this year anyway, depends on if and who we fill the last 2 spots with, not been any talk in the local paper recently bout getting anyone in, couple of pieces on the Aus centre (not Champion) but nothing concrete, ask again in March

| I say good on the Giants. Can only be good for the international team and other teams may follow.
Still buggers for pinching Wardle though

I think he got the #3 jersey simply because he was an England Centre in 2010. I see it as a toss up between Lawrence and Cudjoe who is centre and who is wing and it will get mixed around again this year during matches.
